You will have opportunities to work on bespoke customer deliveries as well as our Seriös ONE suite of data platform products.\nWhat you’ll be doing:\nDesign, build and maintain scalable, secure and reliable data pipelines and data platforms.\n\nImplement data engineering best practices, ensuring data integrity, quality, governance and security.\n\nDevelop and maintain data models using Data Vault and Kimball methodologies to support analytical and operational use cases.\n\nBuild solutions using structured and unstructured data sources, transforming data into trusted business assets.\n\nDesign, develop, test and deploy high-quality Python and SQL solutions using modern software engineering practices.\n\nContribute to CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, monitoring and DataOps practices to improve delivery quality and efficiency.\n\nOptimise data storage, processing and retrieval solutions for performance, scalability and cost efficiency.\n\nCollaborate with clients and internal teams to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions.\n\nContribute to solution design, technical decision making and continuous improvement of engineering standards and delivery frameworks.\n\nSupport data migration, integration and modernisation initiatives across a range of cloud platforms.\n\nMentor and support junior team members through peer reviews, knowledge sharing and technical guidance.\n\nEvaluate and contribute to the adoption of emerging technologies, including AI-enabled data engineering capabilities.\n\nThe above list is non-exhaustive; you may be required to carry out any ancillary duties in relation to your role, in addition to the abovementioned list.\nExperience we’re looking for:\nExperience in a data engineering role within a cloud-based environment.\n\nProven experience designing, building and supporting production data pipelines and ETL/ELT solutions.\n\nStrong Python and SQL skills, including developing reusable and maintainable solutions.\n\nExperience working with cloud data platforms such as Microsoft Fabric, Azure, AWS, GCP, Databricks or Snowflake.\n\nStrong understanding and practical application of Data Vault and Kimball modelling methodologies.\n\nExperience working with APIs, data integration patterns and large-scale data processing.\n\nExperience with CI/CD pipelines, version control and DevOps/DataOps practices.\n\nExperience with Infrastructure as Code tooling such as Terraform is desirable.\n\nUnderstanding of data governance, data quality, security and compliance best practices.\n\nExperience working directly with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver data solutions.\n\nExperience mentoring junior engineers or supporting peer review activities would be advantageous.\n\nSkills we’re looking for:\nStrong problem-solving skills, a commitment to quality and the ability to design scalable, maintainable solutions while seeking better ways of working.\n\nExcellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly, work openly and build trusted relationships with technical and non-technical stakeholders.\n\nA consultative and customer-focused approach to delivering solutions.\n\nAbility to work independently, manage competing priorities and contribute across multiple engagements.\n\nStrong organisational skills, attention to detail and commitment to quality.\n\nA passion for continuous learning, taking ownership and sharing knowledge to support your own development and the growth of others.\n\nAbout us:\nSeriös Group are a fast-growing UK-based technology consultancy specialising in the delivery of innovative, high-quality data solutions.
