You'll work where software engineering meets banking. You'll learn how payment files are generated, transformed, validated and delivered to banks, and you'll help build the tools that automate this work. After a structured training period, you'll take ownership of customer formats.\n\nWhat you'll do:\nLearn and work with global payment standards:\nISO 20022: pain.001 (credit transfers), pain.002 (status reports), camt.053/054 (bank statements)\nSEPA, SWIFT MT/MX, and country- and bank-specific formats\nConfigure and map payment formats from ERP data (SAP and others) to the format each bank requires\nHelp migrate customers between format versions, for example ISO 20022 V3 to V9, to meet bank and SWIFT deadlines\nValidate XML payment files against XSD schemas and bank specifications\nRun end-to-end tests in UAT environments, then analyse the bank's acknowledgements and rejections\nWrite test cases and keep test evidence for customer sign-off\nInvestigate customer tickets such as rejected payments, mapping errors, file transfer failures and status mismatches\nRead logs, query databases with SQL and find the root cause, with help from senior analysts\nCoordinate with banks, customers and internal development and cloud teams\nWork in Agile/Scrum sprints using Jira, and document configurations and decisions in Confluence\nCollaborate with colleagues in India and Europe\n\nWhat we're looking for:\nBE / B.Tech in Computer Engineering, or an equivalent degree in IT or Computer Science (2025 or 2026 graduates welcome)\nStrong grasp of programming fundamentals in at least one language (JavaScript/Node.js, Java or Python)\nGood working knowledge of SQL (joins, filters, aggregations)\nUnderstanding of data formats: XML, JSON and CSV\nAnalytical mindset and close attention to detail, because one wrong field means a failed payment\nClear written and spoken English\n\nGood to have:\nXML Schema (XSD), XPath or XSLT\nREST APIs and tools such as Postman\nETL tools (Pentaho, Talend or similar), or experience transforming data in scripts\nGit, the Linux command line, SFTP\nBasic knowledge of banking, payments or finance (we'll teach the domain)\nInternships or academic projects in data integration, automation or fintech\n\nSoft skills:\nCuriosity and willingness to learn a new domain quickly\nOwnership, and follow-through on tasks and customer issues\nBeing
