Come create excellence with Servbank.\nKey Responsibilities:\nLead by example, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, professionalism, and continuous improvement.\nIndependently compile, analyze, and review financial information to prepare and record journal entries within the general ledger system, ensuring transactions are accurately documented and properly supported.\nRecord, reconcile, and analyze the Bank's daily cash and investment activities, identifying variances and escalating concerns as appropriate.\nPrepare, review, and maintain account reconciliations, ensuring outstanding items are researched and resolved in a timely manner.\nSupport the month-end and year-end close processes, including preparation and review of journal entries, reconciliations, schedules, and supporting documentation.\nPrepare a variety of daily, weekly, and monthly accounting schedules and reports with a high level of accuracy.\nMaintain and update departmental procedures, ensuring documentation remains current, accurate, and aligned with internal control requirements and standard procedure templates.\nSupport internal and external audits by collecting, reviewing, validating, and organizing audit documentation and responding to auditor requests.\nAssist with the preparation and filing of regulatory reports, including but not limited to the FR 2900 Report, Call Report, and Y-9SP Report.\nServe as a backup for the Accounts Payable function, including reviewing expense coding, processing vendor invoices and employee reimbursement requests, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.\nIdentify process inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement, recommend solutions, and support implementation of approved enhancements.\nPerform special projects, research assignments, and ad hoc financial analyses as requested by management.\nCollaborate effectively with internal departments and business partners to resolve accounting-related questions and issues.\nRequirements\nStrong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and accounting controls.\nAdvanced analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.\nAbility to independently prioritize workload, meet deadlines, and manage multiple responsibilities.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills.\nProficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software applications.\nExperience preparing account reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting schedules.\nKnowledge of banking operations, regulatory reporting, and financial institution accounting preferred.\nAbility to identify process improvement opportunities and contribute to operational efficiencies.\nEducation and Experience:\nBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.\nMinimum of 5 years of accounting experience required; banking or financial services industry experience preferred.\nExperience with general ledger systems and financial reporting applications\nEEO Statement:\nWe’re an equal opportunity employer.
