Then come join the SUS family!\nS:US is seeking a Shift Supervisor for our adult families' shelter in the Manhattan.\nThis position is located at East 31 Street New York, NY 10016\nThe Shift Supervisor is responsible for the overall operations of the program or facility during his/her assigned shift. On evening, nights, holidays and weekend shifts, these duties will be expanded to include supervision of all staff located at our Harmonia family shelter in Manhattan .\nESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:\nSupervision includes, but is not limited to, ongoing individual supervisory meetings; building inspections, ongoing feedback regarding job performance; coordinating work schedules, timesheets and requests for time off; coordinating work assignments; evaluating paperwork and documentation including the Security Log and Maintenance Work Order Log books; coordinating security and maintenance staff training, development and evaluation. \nMay be required to fulfill duties of residential aides and/or custodial personnel in their absence.\nEstablish and maintain appropriate staff/client boundaries and direct clients to the appropriate staff or department in order to address their needs.\nCommunicate regarding incidents and client observations and interactions with Facility Manager, Case Managers, Senior Case Managers, Director of Social Services and Program Director as needed.\nAssist with new family arrivals, apartment turnovers and complete intakes and program orientation.\nAssist with move outs, curfew violators and new residents. Complete intakes with new residents.\nAdhere to on call system to facilitate crisis intervention, emergencies, and other situations that require immediate action. \nQualifications\nEQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE \nHigh School Diploma or GED required\n2+ years of experience in Security or Building Maintenance is required. \nAbility to provide crisis intervention utilizing good interpersonal skills with a high level of maturity and responsibility \nExperience in office management and/or staff supervision is required. \nExperience working in a large residential/institutional setting with a special need’s population is required. \nStrong writing, interpersonal, and organizational skills required. \nF-80 (Certificate of Fitness for Coordinator of Fire Safety and Alarm Systems) is required within 6 months of employment. \nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS\nNYS Driver’s License preferred \nBilingual English/Spanish speaking preferred\nCompany Overview\nS:US IS AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER\nJoin a team of employees who care about the wellbeing of others.
