Duties involve a combination of the following: Sweeping, mopping or scrubbing, and polishing floors; removing chips, trash, and other refuse; dusting equipment, furniture, or fixtures; polishing metal fixtures or trimmings; providing supplies and minor maintenance services; and cleaning lavatories, showers, and restrooms.\nPrimary Duties, 15 hours per week with possible additional on call hours.\nReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. These duties and responsibilities will be rated on the Annual Performance Review.\nMaintains building interior by dusting and polishing furniture, equipment, mirrors, and fixtures; washing windows, counters, walls, ceilings, and woodwork; sweeping, scrubbing, and waxing floors; cleaning and vacuuming drapes, furniture, and carpeting including carpet scrubbing; resupplying rest rooms; replacing light bulbs.\nMaintains building accessibility and appearance by picking up papers and trash; replacing light bulbs.\nRemoves trash by emptying trash containers; transporting materials to disposal area; collecting recycling materials.\nKeeps cleaning equipment operational by following manufacturer's operating and care guidelines; completing operator repairs and parts replacement.\nMaintains parts and equipment inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed parts; anticipating cleaning equipment replacement; placing orders.\nAdditional Responsibilities\nMaintains safe working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.\nContributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.\nPerform other job related duties as assigned. \nQualifications: Education, Experience, and Certification(s)\nHigh school diploma or General Educational Development (GED).\nAt least one (1) year custodial experience.\nKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities\nAbility to understand and follow direction.\nKnowledge of various cleaning products and when to use them.\nMust have good oral/verbal communication skills.\nPhysical Demands\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
