We currently have 2 laundry trucks, one shower trailer and two combination shower/laundry trailers in operation; each offers services 5-6 days a week. Applicants should be reliable, compassionate, and have a safety mindset.\nPrimary Duties\nReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. These duties and responsibilities will be rated on the Annual Performance Review.\nPhysically able to do laundry and be on your feet for the majority of workday.\n\nThoroughly clean and organize shower & laundry facilities in accordance with training.\n\nSafely operate a modified 20-foot box truck in the Denver-Metro area, including downtown.\n\nSafely operate a F350 or 16-passenger van with a 20-foot or 28-foot trailer attached in the Denver-Metro area, including downtown.\n\nNavigate traffic and parking of all company vehicles in a busy urban environment.\n\nPerform vehicle inspections, notifying manager or manager of any necessary maintenance or repairs.\n\nAdditional Responsibilities\nFollow directions as provided by manager.\n\nRepresent Service Source professionally with customers and partner service providers.\n\nProvide empathic and thoughtful customer service to all clients.\n\nUse a trauma informed approach when offering support to participants and customers.\n\nEngage community members about broader SSI services.\n\nTrack all personal laundry, utilizing procedures in place, ensuring nothing gets lost, and belongings are returned to the correct individual.\n\nKindly, tactfully, notify shower occupants when they have 5 minutes remaining.\n\nPurge grey water, fill propane and gasoline to ensure flawless operation of vehicles.\n\nTrain and monitor transitional employees in set-up, operation, cleaning/sanitization, and troubleshooting of the laundry truck and shower trailer.\n\nWork outdoors in all-weather conditions, year-round.\n\nProvide all documents and receipts to the manager daily.\n\nAlert manager to any inventory needs.\n\nCoordinate with other drivers within Mobile Community Services to ensure all sites are covered.\n\nPractice excellent interpersonal dynamics, solid team collaboration, and conflict resolution.\n\nKeep a safety mindset, maintaining a safe workspace clear of hazards.\n\nLift up to 10 pounds repeatedly, and 50 pounds occasionally.\n\nOther duties, as assigned.\n\nQualifications: Education, Experience, and Certification(s)\nRequirement High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years’ experience working with vulnerable populations.\n\nMust have a valid driver’s license with the ability to be insured by SSI’s automotive carrier.\n\nAble to provide verification of current auto-insurance and have full use of automobiles during work hours.\n\nConfidence operating and parking a large truck and trailer in an urban environment.\n\nExcellent interpersonal dynamics, solid team collaboration and conflict resolution.\n\nDemonstrated lived and/or work experience with vulnerable populations.\n\nAbility to tend to distress and/or demanding clients and employees in an effective manner.\n\nAbility to function in a positive manner in a demanding work environment, to demonstrate a high degree of flexibility, to respond to priorities and schedules that change frequently.\n\nDemonstrated experience with crisis-intervention and de-escalation skills.\n\nDemonstrated ability to work successfully in a team environment.\n\nAbility to handle confidential and sensitive information without breach.\n\nAdapt to unexpected situations and shift roles and expectations without prior notice.\n\nClear, efficient, transparent communication skills (oral and written).\n\nBasic plumbing, and auto maintenance experience a plus.\n\nKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities\nLANGUAGE SKILLS\nAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
