Primary Duties

Supervisedailyoperationsof groundsstaff,includingplan,design and implementgroundsmaintenanceactivitiesandensureworkisaccomplished accordingtoplanand schedule.
Responsibilitiesincludeensuring mowing,edging,pruningand trimming,maintenanceof plantbeds,weed control,fencelinevegetation control,andpolicingof groundshavebeen completedto companyand customerstandards.
Troubleshootproblem areasof groundsmaintenance,requisitionand inventory tools,supplies,and equipment.
Assign and ensurestaffhavewelldefinedobjectives,scheduleemployees,reviewand approvedirectreportstime,managestaff’sperformance,andensureallworkbeing completed followsServiceSourcestandards.
AdditionalResponsibilities
Responsiblefor reviewingapplicants,conducting interviews,andmaking hiringrecommendations.
Conductinitialand annualemployeeevaluationsfordirectreports.
Provideadviceand supporttoseniormanagersandcustomers.
Careforestablished lawnsbymulching,aerating,weeding,grubbing,removing thatch,or trimming or edging aroundflowerbeds,walks,or walls. Pruneor trim trees,shrubs,or hedges,using shears,pruners,or chain saws.
Gatherand removelitter. Ensurestheassigned areasarepoliced fortrashand otherdebris.
Usehand tools,such asshovels,rakes,pruning saws,saws,hedgeor brush trimmers,or axes.Maintainor repairtools,equipment,or structures,such asbuildings,fences,or benches,usinghand or powertoolswhentrained.
Provideproperupkeepof sidewalks,driveways,parkinglots, fountains,and allothergroundsfeaturespercontractrequirements. Manageandensuretheremovalof snowand iceto maintain clearand safesidewalks,parkinglots, andbuilding entry ways.
Ensuretheassigned turfareasaretoestablished height,edgeandtrim around allobstaclesandplanting beds,trimshrubstoestablished height,trim treesand removelimbs,etc.in accordancewith thecontractspecifications. Manageandmaintainturfbywatering,weeding,mowing,trimming,replanting,and performingother operationsasrequiredtoestablish healthy,viableturf.
Managethetransportationof largedebris,leaves,trash,equipmentrequiring majorrepairetc.from thesitetorequired designation,entrances,emergency exitsand firehydrantlocations.
Coordinatesand providesoversightforservicevendorsconducting refuse/recycle,snowremoval,road repair,and otheractivities.
Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:Education,Experience, andCertification(s)
A high schooldiplomaor statecertifiedequivalentrequired.
Minimum of 5 yearsof groundsmaintenanceexperiencerequired.
Minimum of 3 yearsof supervisory experience required.
Abilitytogain andmaintain NGAsiteaccessrequired.
AbilitytopassHSPD-12 background checkrequired.
Knowledge,Skills, andAbilities
Knowledgeof machinesand tools,including theirdesigns,uses,repair,andmaintenance.
Theability tokeepyour handand armsteady whilemovingyour arm or whileholding your armand hand in one position.
