Pruneor trim trees,shrubs,or hedges,using shears,pruners,or chain saws.\n\nGatherand removelitter. Ensurestheassigned areasarepoliced fortrashand otherdebris.\n\nUsehand tools,such asshovels,rakes,pruning saws,saws,hedgeor brush trimmers,or axes.Maintainor repairtools,equipment,or structures,such asbuildings,fences,or benches,usinghand or powertoolswhentrained.\n\nProvideproperupkeepof sidewalks,driveways,parkinglots, fountains,and allothergroundsfeaturespercontractrequirements. Manageandensuretheremovalof snowand iceto maintain clearand safesidewalks,parkinglots, andbuilding entry ways.\n\nEnsuretheassigned turfareasaretoestablished height,edgeandtrim around allobstaclesandplanting beds,trimshrubstoestablished height,trim treesand removelimbs,etc.in accordancewith thecontractspecifications. Manageandmaintainturfbywatering,weeding,mowing,trimming,replanting,and performingother operationsasrequiredtoestablish healthy,viableturf.\n\nManagethetransportationof largedebris,leaves,trash,equipmentrequiring majorrepairetc.from thesitetorequired designation,entrances,emergency exitsand firehydrantlocations.\n\nCoordinatesand providesoversightforservicevendorsconducting refuse/recycle,snowremoval,road repair,and otheractivities.\n\nPerform additional responsibilities as assigned.\n\nQualifications:Education,Experience, andCertification(s)\nA high schooldiplomaor statecertifiedequivalentrequired.\n\nMinimum of 5 yearsof groundsmaintenanceexperiencerequired.\n\nMinimum of 3 yearsof supervisory experience required.\n\nAbilitytogain andmaintain NGAsiteaccessrequired.\n\nAbilitytopassHSPD-12 background checkrequired.\n\nKnowledge,Skills, andAbilities\nKnowledgeof machinesand tools,including theirdesigns,uses,repair,andmaintenance.\n\nTheability tokeepyour handand armsteady whilemovingyour arm or whileholding your armand hand in one position.\n\nTheability tocoordinatetwo or morelimbs(for example,twoarms,twolegs,or one legandone arm)whilesitting,standing,or lying down.Itdoesnot involveperformingtheactivitieswhilethewholebodyisinmotion.\n\nTheability toquicklyand repeatedlyadjustthecontrolsof a machineor a vehicletoexactpositions.\n\nPhysical Demands\nThephysicaldemandsdescribed here are representative ofthose thatmustbemetbyan employee to successfullyperformthe essential functionsofthis job.Reasonable accommodationsmaybe made to enable individuals with disabilitiesto perform the essentialfunctions.
