ServiceSource is an organization of talented people who drive innovation, embrace change, and strengthen communities.\nPay rate : $21.29 + $5.35 (Health and Wellness) per hour\nJob Summary\nThe Warehouse Specialist, under the guidance of the Assistant Contract Manager, performs a variety of warehousing duties that require an understanding of the establishment's storage plan and the specific multi-climate layout of the warehouse. Work involves verifying materials against receiving documents, routing items to prescribed storage locations, and preparing stock for outbound shipmen in accordance with enforcing established Quality Control Policies.\nPrimary Duties\nReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. These duties and responsibilities will be rated on the Annual Performance Review.\nOversee task completion related to the safe receipt, physical inspection, and proper multi-climate storage of incoming subsistence supplies, foodstuffs, MREs, and water.\n\nVerify incoming materials against receiving documents, noting and reporting any discrepancies, obvious damages, or temperature-chain failures.\n\nMaintain the Warehouse Management System (WMS) and take direct responsibility for all database updates related to incoming quantities.\n\nWork closely with the Shipping & Receiving Specialist to validate available storage footprints, manage staging spaces, and coordinate warehouse floor capacity.\n\nDirect the day-to-day routine tasks of assigned Stock Clerks during inbound supply windows.\n\nAdditional Responsibilities\nStore, stack, or palletize materials in accordance with prescribed storage plans across the dry storage, refrigeration, and freezer zones.\n\nExamine stored materials routinely and report any signs of product deterioration or damage to the Quality Assurance Manager.\n\nOperate hand trucks, power jacks, forklift, or other basic material handling equipment as required to perform warehousing duties.\n\nPrepare periodic, special, or perpetual inventory counts of stored stock as directed by line management.\n\nMove, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 55 pounds without assistance; reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.\n\nOther duties as assigned.\n\nPerform other responsibilities as assigned.\n\nQualifications: Education, Experience and Certification(s)\nHigh school diploma or equivalent, required.\n\n1-2 years of experience in an industrial warehouse setting, with food logistics experience preferred.\n\nForklift certification preferred or able to pass within 30 days of employment.\n\nKnowledge, Skills and Abilities\nMust demonstrate a strong understanding of industrial storage plans, inventory rotation, and cold-chain sanitation guidelines.\n\nMust practice good judgment and demonstrate a high level of integrity when dealing with government property.\n\nMust be proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of solving routine problems with minimal supervision.\n\nAbility to work flexible hours to support peak National Guard training cycles and weekend drill surges.\n\nPhysical Demands\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee will lift or move products and supplies, up to 55 pounds, and work in cold temperatures. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
