{"id":3556573,"url":"https://alion.io/job/ses-analyst-group-financial-reporting","title":"Analyst, Group Financial Reporting","company":{"id":54618,"name":"SES","domain":"ses.com","url":"https://alion.io/company/ses-com","size_band":"1001-5000","is_staffing_agency":false,"employer_type":"direct","is_intermediary":false,"listed_via":null,"ats_vendor":"SuccessFactors","truth_index":null},"role":"Finance","role_family":"Finance","seniority":null,"employment_type":null,"work_mode":"on_site","remote_scope":null,"remote_scope_basis":null,"remote_working_hours":null,"hiring_geo_confidence":"structured","locations":["Bucharest, Romania"],"countries":["RO"],"hiring_countries":[],"hiring_countries_total":0,"salary":null,"salary_estimate":null,"experience_years_min":null,"visa_sponsorship":false,"relocation_package":false,"has_equity":false,"technologies":[],"status":"live","first_seen_at":"2026-10-31T01:07:18Z","employer_posted_date":"2026-10-31","last_verified_at":"2026-11-02T05:37:13Z","board_verified":true,"closed_at":null,"days_open":2,"trust":{"level":"ok","repost_count":null,"flags":[],"days_open":2},"description":"Analyst, Group Financial Reporting\nROLE DESCRIPTION SUMMARY\nThe Analyst supports the monthly Group financial reporting and consolidation process for SES Group (the 'Group'), ensuring assigned activities are completed accurately and on time.\nThe role analyses the Group's financial results, prepares clear and relevant business commentary, and contributes to timely, accurate and well-drafted management reporting, IFRS consolidated financial statements and other regulatory disclosures.\nThe role also supports, and where assigned coordinates, projects allocated by the Director, Group Financial Reporting, including Group-wide system enhancements and process transitions.\nPRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES / KEY RESULT AREAS\nPrepare and execute assigned activities within the monthly IFRS consolidation programme, including posting journal entries, performing analytical reviews of the monthly Group results and carrying out periodic controls to support the effective operation of the Group financial reporting process. \nInvestigate and resolve issues or irregularities arising during the closing process through clear communication and effective coordination with colleagues across the Group including Controlling, Accounting, Tax, Treasury and other Finance functions.\nPrepare and contribute to high-quality internal and external reporting, including the Group's consolidated IFRS financial statements and other financial reporting deliverables as required. \nCoordinate and monitor assigned internal and external audit requests, provide supporting documentation, and contribute to the timely resolution of matters identified. \nPerform and document assigned SOX controls and contribute to the continuous improvement of the financial reporting control environment.\nSupport, and where assigned coordinate, enhancements to accounting and reporting processes, controls and systems to improve quality, efficiency and consistency. \nSupport the Tax team in performing tax controls and reconciliations.\nParticipate in ad hoc finance projects as required, collaborating with colleagues from other departments where relevant.\nProvide cover for other team members as required and contribute to the effective operation of the Group Financial Reporting team.\nCOMPETENCIES\nA good up-to-date technical understanding of accounting and consolidation under IFRS.\nStrong analytical skills and care in understanding and checking information.\nGood organisation skills with the ability to multi-task.\nFlexibility in working hours during peak periods of the monthly and external reporting cycles. \nAbility to perform effectively under pressure and respond constructively to changing priorities. \nAbility to plan and prioritise work independently, while escalating issues in a timely manner. \nClear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in an international environment.\nQUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE\nPartly qualified accountant (ACCA level or equivalent), preferably with a Big Four background. \nPractical experience in preparing, supporting or auditing international, multi-currency legal consolidations under IFRS. \nExperience in tax accounting and related disclosures within an international group is an advantage.\nFluency in written and spoken English. \n\nSES and its Affiliated Companies are committed to providing fair and equal employment opportunities to all.
