This project is the European Union's answer to the pressing challenges of tomorrow to provide secure connectivity services and enhanced communication capacities to the EU and its Member States. In addition, as well as to governmental users, private companies and European citizens while benefiting from ensuring high-speed internet broadband to cope with connectivity dead zones.\nSES - together with other consortium partners and core members, was selected by the European Commission to build and to operate the IRIS2 multi-orbit satellite constellation.\nThe IRIS2 team enters next project phases, we seek and there is a strong need of support for all the activities around service provisioning and products that the system can offer in the future\nROLE DESCRIPTION SUMMARY\nThe Enterprise Architecture & Digital Transformation Manager is a strategic leadership role responsible for defining, governing, and implementing the integrated digital ecosystem supporting programme execution across engineering, manufacturing, integration & validation, operations, and programme management activities.\nThe role ensures that enterprise tools, data flows, and digital capabilities support efficient programme execution and operational excellence throughout the lifecycle of complex aerospace, space, and telecommunications programmes.\nPRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES / KEY RESULT AREAS\n1. Enterprise Architecture Strategy\nDefine Target Enterprise Architecture:Develop and maintain the organisation's enterprise architecture roadmap.\nDefine the target digital ecosystem supporting programme execution.\nIdentify required business capabilities and supporting systems.\nEstablish architecture principles applicable across programmes and projects.\n\nDefine Business Architecture:Analyse business processes and operational needs.\nAlign digital solutions with programme management and engineering workflows.\nEnsure consistency between organisational processes and supporting systems.\n\nArchitectural Governance:Establish architecture governance processes.\nSupport strategic decisions regarding tools, systems, and digital solutions.\nEnsure compliance with organisational architecture standards.\n\n2. Digital Transformation Leadership\nDigitalisation Roadmap:Develop and maintain the enterprise digital transformation roadmap.\nPrioritise implementation initiatives.\nCoordinate system evolution and capability development.\n\nProcess Transformation:Lead process harmonisation and digitalisation initiatives.\nSimplify and optimise business processes through technology adoption.\nPromote standardisation across programmes and projects.\n\nChange Adoption:Drive organisational adoption of new tools and capabilities.\nSupport stakeholder engagement and change management activities.\nEnsure successful implementation of digital transformation initiatives.\n\n3. Engineering & Product Lifecycle Architecture\n Engineering Ecosystem Definition:Define integration and interaction between:Requirements Management platforms\nALM (Application Lifecycle Management)\nMBSE tools\nSystems Engineering environments\nVerification & Validation environments\n\n Product Lifecycle Management:Define architecture and governance supporting:Product Lifecycle Management (PLM)\nProduct Breakdown Structures (PBS)\nConfiguration Management\nProduct data management\nDigital thread implementation\n\n Digital Engineering Governance:Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)\nDigital engineering methodologies\nEngineering data governance\n\n4. Programme Management Systems Architecture\nDefine integration of PMO Tool EcoystemPlanning and scheduling tools\nRisk management tools\nChange management systems\nCost management environments\nReporting and dashboarding platforms\n\nEnsure alignment within the Programme Controls Integration\nDevelop information structures supporting the Information Architecture Management:\nManage the Enterprise Data & Information Architecture by designing information exchanges across the different divisions of the organization\nDefine master data ownership and governance principles\n5. Tools Selection& Implementation Oversight\nSupport the Enterprise Tool Strategy with evaluation and selection of:PLM & ALM platforms\nRequirements management tools\nConfiguration management tools\nProgramme management solutions\nReporting and analytics tools\n\nImplementation GovernanceDefine implementation strategies.\nCoordinate with implementation partners.\nEnsure alignment with enterprise architecture vision.\n\n Ensure interoperability between:Engineering tools\nOperational tools\nPMO solutions\nEnterprise data platforms\n\nCOMPETENCIES\nBusiness architecture and capability modelling\nSolution architecture and integration design\nGood understanding of: Enterprise Architecture frameworks and principles and Information architecture and governance\nStrong understanding of: System Engineering, PLM, ALM, Configuration Management, Verification & Validation\nSolid knowledge of Digital Transofrmation (Process transformation, Digitalisation strategies, technology adoption)\nAbility to translate functional requirements into practical tool configurations\nStrong coordination and stakeholder management skills\nCollaborative approach working with cross-functional project teams and ability to integrate individual duties towards successful realizations\nExcellent internal and external communication skills as well as team spirit\nQUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE\nUniversity degree in either Telecom, IT, Aerospace or Satellite Engineering\nMinimum 10 years proven professional experience in aerospace, space, defence, telecommunications, or other complex engineering industries\nExperience in enterprise architecture, digital transformation, or engineering systems integration\nExperience with large-scale programme environments\nPreferred experience with platforms such as: Siemens Teamcenter, Polarion, Jama, Power BI.\nFluency in English, both written and spoken\nAny other European Language is considered an asset\nProven experience in working with EU, ESA, and or national governmental institutions along ECSS standards\nPreferred Certifications: TOGAF®, ArchiMate® or INCOSE ASEP® / CSEP® or equivalent Enterprise Architecture / Systems Engineering certifications.\nPMP® Certification (nonessential)\nITIL® 4 Certificate (nonessential)\nOTHER KEY REQUIREMENTS / COMMENTS\nEligibility for ESA/EU SECRET personal security clearances is essential.
