In addition, as well as to governmental users, private companies and European citizens while benefiting from ensuring high-speed internet broadband to cope with connectivity dead zones.\nSES - together with other consortium partners and core members - was selected by the European Commission to build and to operate the IRIS2 multi-orbit satellite constellation.\nThe IRIS2 team enters next project phases, we seek and there is a strong need of support for all the activities around service provisioning and products that the system can offer in the future.\nROLE DESCRIPTION SUMMARY\nThe IVV Technical Project Manager is responsible for the planning, coordination, and technical oversight of Integration, Verification, and Validation (IVV) activities for satellite systems. The role ensures that spacecraft, payload, and ground interface requirements are fully verified and validated against customer, regulatory, and mission requirements.\nActing as the bridge between systems engineering, AIT, product assurance, and programme management, the IVV Technical Project Manager ensures robust verification coverage, schedule adherence, risk control, and technical compliance throughout the satellite lifecycle-from design to launch readiness.\nPRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES / KEY RESULT AREAS\nIVV Planning & Management\nDefine, maintain, and control the IVV strategy, ensuring full traceability to system and mission requirements.\nDevelop and manage IVV plans, verification control documents (VCD), and test matrices.\nPlan and monitor IVV schedules, milestones, and resource allocation in alignment with programme objectives.\nCoordinate internal and external IVV activities across payload, platform, and system levels.\nTechnical Coordination\nInterface with Systems Engineering to ensure clear, verifiable, and testable requirements.\nCoordinate verification activities across:Equipment level\nSubsystem level\nSpacecraft system level\n\nEnsure alignment between IVV approach and AIT flow (functional, environmental, and operational validation).\nTest & Verification Oversight\nPlan and support integration and verification campaigns including:Functional testing\nEnvironmental testing (TV, TB, vibro acoustic, EMC)\nEnd to end system validation\n\nPrepare and lead Test Readiness Reviews (TRR), Qualification Reviews (QR), and Acceptance Reviews (AR).\nOversee verification evidence generation, data review, and compliance closure.\nStakeholder & Interface Management\nAct as the focal point for IVV related coordination with:Engineering teams\nAIT teams and test facilities\nProduct Assurance / Quality\nExternal suppliers and partners\nCustomers and space agencies\n\nSupport programme reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR) from an IVV perspective.\nRisk, Quality & Compliance\nIdentify IVV related technical, schedule, and resource risks; implement mitigation actions.\nManage non conformances, deviations, and waivers related to IVV activities.\nEnsure compliance with applicable standards (ECSS, ESA, NASA, company processes).\nSupport anomaly investigations and lessons learned initiatives.\nCOMPETENCIES\nStrong understanding of the satellite lifecycle and system architecture.\nSolid knowledge of IVV methodologies, verification logic, and test philosophies.\nAbility to analyse requirements and define appropriate verification approaches (test, analysis, inspection, demonstration).\nExcellent planning, organisational, and stakeholder coordination skills.\nStrong communication and documentation abilities.\nStructured, detail oriented, and quality driven mindset.\nQUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE\nMaster's degree in aerospace engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.\n5+ years of experience in IVV, AIT, or System Engineering within space or complex system projects.\nFluency in English, both written and spoken\nAny other European Language is considered an asset\nProven experience in verification planning and execution for satellite or high reliability systems.\nExperience working in a multidisciplinary and matrix organisation.\nExperience with ESA or institutional programmes.\nKnowledge of ECSS standards and product assurance processes.\nExperience with payload or platform subsystems verification.\nFamiliarity with requirements management tools and IVV tracking tools.\nProject management certification (PMP®, PRINCE2, IPMA).\nOTHER KEY REQUIREMENTS / COMMENTS\nThe candidate must be eligible for a “SECRET” security clearance, in accordance with the national regulations as well as EU/ESA/NATO equivalents\nWilling to work 60% onsite from office\nTravel as required for project realization purposes\n\nSES and its Affiliated Companies are committed to providing fair and equal employment opportunities to all.
