It will also provide high-speed broadband internet to eliminate global connectivity dead zones.\nTo accelerate development timelines, reduce costs, and ensure quality, SES is internalizing a critical segment of the satellite supply chain: the final integration of partner satellite platforms with SES’s software-defined payloads, all within a cutting-edge manufacturing and test facility.\nROLE DESCRIPTION\nThe System Integration & Test (SI&T) team is responsible for the integration, verification, validation, and end-to-end testing of the meoSphere System of Systems, encompassing spacecraft, ground systems, terminals, networks, software, and operational processes. The team ensures that system elements interoperate as intended and that end-to-end capabilities meet program and operational requirements.\nAs a Senior Engineer, you will lead and deliver system integration, verification, validation, and test activities across one or more of the following areas: Mission Test & Pathfinder Integration, Systems Verification & Validation, or Test Infrastructure & Automation. Working across multiple engineering domains, you will develop test solutions, define and execute test activities, investigate technical issues, verify system requirements, and support major program milestones from system integration through operational readiness.\nThe role requires strong technical judgment, hands-on problem solving, and the ability to independently deliver complex technical work in a fast-paced engineering environment.\nPRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES / KEY RESULT AREAS\nPlan, coordinate, and execute system integration, verification, validation, and test activities across complex hardware, software, network, and operational environments.\nOwn assigned SI&T work packages, delivering technical outputs aligned with program milestones, test campaigns, and readiness gates.\nDevelop, review, and maintain test procedures, verification methods, configurations, success criteria, and evidence required to demonstrate requirement compliance.\nDefine and execute interface, system, mission, and end-to-end test activities supporting verification and validation of mission and service outcomes.\nCollaborate with spacecraft, ground systems, software, mission operations, networking, laboratory, supplier, and partner teams to coordinate integration and test activities.\nInvestigate anomalies identified during integration and testing, perform technical troubleshooting and root-cause analysis, and drive effective resolution and corrective actions.\nEnsure complete traceability between requirements, verification methods, test procedures, execution records, anomalies, and verification evidence.\nContribute to system readiness reviews, verification reviews, test readiness reviews, operational readiness reviews, and related technical assessments.\nSupport the development, maintenance, and configuration control of test environments, test infrastructure, and automation capabilities, as applicable to the assigned area.\nProduce high-quality technical documentation, test reports, verification records, anomaly reports, and engineering recommendations to support technical decision-making.\nContribute to the continuous improvement of SI&T processes, methodologies, tools, and engineering best practices.\nProvide technical guidance and knowledge sharing within project teams and support less experienced engineers where appropriate.\nKey Year 1 Deliverables\nWithin the first year, you will establish yourself as an independent contributor within the SI&T organization and successfully deliver assigned technical outputs supporting program milestones and readiness objectives. Expected deliverables include:\nDelivery of assigned integration, verification, validation, mission testing, or test automation work packages in support of program execution.\nApproved and controlled test procedures, verification procedures, configurations, and supporting documentation for assigned activities.\nSuccessful execution and documentation of planned test campaigns, including collection of traceable verification evidence.\nDelivery of technical analysis, test reports, verification records, and readiness review inputs supporting program decision-making.\nTimely investigation, documentation, and disposition of anomalies identified during integration and test activities.\nDemonstrated ownership of assigned technical scope and achievement of agreed milestone commitments.\nImplementation or enhancement of test environment, automation, infrastructure, or verification capabilities where applicable to the assigned specialty.\nEstablishment of effective working relationships across engineering teams and recognition as a trusted SI&T contributor for assigned program activities.\nQualifications Background and Experience\nBachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.\nMinimum 8 years of relevant engineering experience, including demonstrated ownership and delivery of system integration, verification, validation, mission test, test infrastructure, or test automation activities within complex multidisciplinary engineering environments.\nProven ability to independently own technical work packages and deliver results with limited supervision.\nExperience in at least one of the following areas:\nMission Test & Pathfinder Integration\nSystems Verification & Validation\nTest Infrastructure & Automation\n\nStrong understanding of systems engineering, requirements management, verification and validation processes, and technical problem-solving methodologies.\nExperience developing and executing test procedures, verification activities, or automated test capabilities.\nKnowledge of configuration management, requirements traceability, defect management, and engineering documentation practices.\nAbility to analyze technical data, identify issues, and develop practical engineering solutions.\nEffective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across multiple engineering disciplines and stakeholders.\nPreferred Experience\nExperience within satellite, aerospace, telecommunications, defense, networking, or other complex system-of-systems environments.\nFamiliarity with model-based systems engineering, test automation frameworks, simulation environments, or mission test environments.\nExperience supporting formal engineering reviews and readiness assessments.\nMindset & Values\nLearning Mindset: Actively builds technical knowledge, seeks feedback, and learns from hands-on experience and experienced engineers.\nOwnership: Takes responsibility for assigned work, follows through on commitments, and drives issues to resolution.\nRigor: Demonstrates attention to detail, maintains clear documentation, and values evidence-based decisions.\nCollaboration: Works effectively across disciplines, communicates openly, and welcomes different perspectives and feedback.\nSystems Thinking: Understands that complex systems are interconnected and seeks to understand how hardware, software, operations, and networks work together.\nCuriosity: Asks questions, challenges assumptions, and seeks to understand how systems behave in practice.\nOTHER KEY REQUIREMENTS / COMMENTS\nThe candidate must be eligible for a “SECRET” security clearance, in accordance with the national regulations as well as EU/ESA/NATO equivalents\nWilling to work 60% onsite from office\nTravel as required for project realization purposes\n\nSES and its Affiliated Companies are committed to providing fair and equal employment opportunities to all.
