Working alongside highly skilled delivery teams, specialist supply chain partners and key stakeholders, you'll play a crucial role in successfully delivering the critical infrastructure that supports the growth of the digital economy.\nIf you are passionate about the commercial aspects of construction and are looking for an opportunity to work on industry-leading data centre projects, challenge the norm, bring fresh ideas and accelerate your career within a rapidly growing sector, join us and help create tomorrow together.\nThis is an excellent opportunity to progress your career as part of a talented, diverse and supportive team delivering some of the UK's most innovative and technically demanding projects.\nWHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:\nDeveloping and implementing commercial strategies that support successful project delivery and profitability throughout the project lifecycle. \nManaging project budgets, forecasts, cost reporting and cash flow to ensure strong commercial performance. \nPreparing, negotiating and securing agreement of variations, change events and loss and expense claims. \nLeading the procurement and commercial management of subcontractors from tender through to final account. \nMonitoring contractual obligations and managing commercial and contractual risk to protect business interests. \nProducing accurate commercial reports, including cost value reconciliations, liabilities and risk updates. \nBuilding strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors and internal stakeholders to support project success. \nCoaching and mentoring Assistant and Student Quantity Surveyors to support capability development within the commercial team. \nWHAT YOU WILL BRING:\nExperience in a Quantity Surveying role within construction, engineering or M&E project environments. \nStrong commercial acumen with the ability to manage cost control, forecasting, valuations and commercial reporting. \nGood understanding of industry standard forms of contract, including NEC and JCT. \nExcellent communication, relationship-building and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence a range of stakeholders. \nAbility to manage multiple priorities, identify commercial risks and opportunities, and support high-performing project teams. \nWHAT WE OFFER:\nCompetitive salary & Bonus Scheme \nFlexible working \nCar Allowance / Company Car \nTravel covered to any of our sites (subject to HMRC advisory rates) \nExtensive corporate benefits including, Private Medical, Pension 6% employers' contribution, Health and Wellness programme, 26 days holidays + bank holidays and much more. \nExcellent range of learning and development activity to support your career progression. \nIndustry leading family leave benefits to included 26 weeks fully paid maternity, 12 weeks fully paid paternity. \nOur commitments:\nSES is proud to be an employer where anyone can thrive, and we welcome applications from candidates of all backgrounds.
