The Internal Auditor is expected to conduct assigned audits end-to-end under his/her own responsibility, from initial planning and risk assessment through fieldwork, reporting and follow-up, while ensuring appropriate quality, timely delivery and effective communication with relevant stakeholders.\nThe role contributes to the development of the risk-based annual audit plan, schedules and executes audit engagements and other assignments in accordance with the approved 12-month audit plan, performs audit work and completes special projects as assigned. The Internal Auditor is expected to apply sound professional judgement, proactively manage assigned engagements and escalate significant matters to the Senior Audit Manager or Head of Internal Audit as appropriate.\nThe position may also provide general support to the Head of Internal Audit and the wider Internal Audit team as required.\nPRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES / KEY RESULT AREAS\nContribute to the development of the Company’s risk-based annual audit plan.\nIndependently plan and conduct assigned operational and functional audits.\nTake end-to-end responsibility for assigned audit engagements, including planning, fieldwork, reporting and follow-up.\nDefine audit objectives and scope in alignment with the Senior Audit Manager or Head of Internal Audit and client management.\nAnalyse and document processes, risks and controls under review.\nPrepare and execute control design and effectiveness testing based on risk assessment.\nLead interviews, walkthroughs and audit meetings as required.\nMaintain effective and professional communication with client management throughout the audit.\nIdentify control weaknesses, risks and improvement opportunities and assess their impact.\nPrepare audit findings and reports and develop practical recommendations.\nDiscuss and agree findings, corrective actions and implementation timelines with auditees.\nMonitor implementation of agreed recommendations and action plans.\nSupport the preparation of presentations and management reporting.\nDevelop strong knowledge of the Company’s organisation, business activities and risk environment.\nPromote Internal Audit’s role, objectives and working methods across the organisation.\nRemain abreast of relevant developments in the Internal Audit profession and business environment.\nContribute to continuous improvement of Internal Audit methods and tools.\nSupport Internal Audit budget and administrative processes as required.\nPerform other duties and special assignments as may be assigned.\nCOMPETENCIES\nSelf-driven and accountable with the ability to independently manage audit engagements.\nPro-active team player with strong relationship-building skills.\nAbility to prioritise work independently and meet deadlines.\nStrong analytical, organisational and planning skills.\nSound professional judgement and ability to identify relevant risks and control weaknesses.\nAbility to learn new areas quickly and adapt to change.\nStrong communication and interpersonal skills.\nAbility to constructively challenge management and communicate audit issues clearly.\nHigh attention to detail with a good understanding of the broader business context.\nHigh level of confidentiality and uncompromising integrity and ethics.\nQUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE\nBachelor’s Degree in Commerce, Audit, Finance, Business Administration or related field preferred.\nProfessional qualification and/or Master’s Degree in a related field is an advantage.\nProven experience in independently managing and executing audit engagements end-to-end.\nExperience in audit planning, risk assessment, control testing, reporting and follow-up.\nExperience working directly with management and business stakeholders.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office tools, Office 365 and SAP.\nExperience with databases and data analytics tools is an advantage.\nOTHER KEY REQUIREMENTS / COMMENTS\nProficient English; another international language is an advantage.\n\nSES and its Affiliated Companies are committed to providing fair and equal employment opportunities to all.
