You will join a team that is responsible for the effective creation, implementation, configuration, and maintenance of systems (software and environments) related to quantitative analysis and forecasting in the US Power Markets.\nRole Responsibilities\nAs a Software Engineer, you will:\nWork to solve implement complex technical solutions in collaboration with a team of skilled software engineers.\nWork in an iterative and highly dynamic environment that encourages collaboration and continuous improvement.\nDevelop software to implement solutions involving mathematical and optimization techniques used in forecasting and investment decisions.\nCreate and maintain systems that can support large heterogenous datasets across a broad range of sources.\nDevelop libraries and APIs for other technical colleagues (e.g. quants, traders) with an emphasis on correctness, design, usability, and performance.\nWork with researchers to implement research studies, analytics, and production models for commodities trading\nOur Approach\nAt SESCO we embrace a hacker mindset to develop elegant, efficient, and impactful solutions to real-world challenges in energy markets.\nProblem-Solving: We thrive on solving tough problems with creativity and rigor.\nCollaboration: We value a highly collaborative environment that blends diverse expertise.\n Innovation: Electricity markets demand innovative solutions to account for incomplete information and complex dynamics.\nQualifications\nBachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate Degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience with progressive responsibilities.\nProven track-record of designing and implementing full-stack applications with a quantitative audience.\nExpertise in Python and related ecosystem (PyData, flask, etc).\nExperience with multi-database environments.
