This role is for engineers who want to build reliable, high-scale payment systems and take end-to-end ownership of meaningful backend problems. The team works on systems that demand scale, resilience, performance, and cost efficiency.\n\nWhat will you do at Setu?\n\n- Design, build, and maintain backend services that power high-scale, low-latency payment systems.\n\n- Take end-to-end ownership of problem statements, from architecture and implementation to rollout and monitoring.\n\n- Continuously optimize performance and infrastructure costs, identifying opportunities to make our systems faster and leaner.\n\n- Collaborate with product, frontend, and infra teams to deliver reliable and scalable solutions.\n\n- Strengthen system observability, fault tolerance, and scalability through metrics, tracing, and alerting.\n\n- Follow and champion engineering best practices including testing, documentation, code reviews, and CI/CD automation.\n\nOur Stack :\n\nLanguages and frameworks :\n\n- Golang.\n\nDatastores :\n\n- PostgreSQL.\n\n- Redis.\n\n- ClickHouse.\n\n- DynamoDB.\n\nMessaging and queues :\n\n- RabbitMQ.\n\n- SQS.\n\nInfra and monitoring :\n\n- AWS.\n\n- Prometheus.\n\n- Grafana.\n\nCI/CD and tooling :\n\n- GitLab.\n\n- Terraform.\n\n- Docker.\n\nWhat We Are Looking For :\n\n- Strong hands-on experience with Golang and related backend technologies.\n\n- Solid understanding of relational databases, especially PostgreSQL, distributed systems, concurrency, and system design.\n\n- Experience in scaling backend systems or optimizing infrastructure costs at high scale.\n\n- Familiarity with AWS and observability tooling such as Grafana, Prometheus, and ClickHouse.\n\n- Demonstrated ownership mindset with the ability to take initiatives from concept to production.\n\n- Passion for clean, maintainable, and efficient code.\n\nWhy Setu?\n\nWe will spare no efforts to ensure that Setu empowers you to do the most important and impactful work of your career.
