The ideal candidate demonstrates the ability to work with engineers, technologists, vendors, and senior management to scope, schedule, and present deliverables. Experience with opto-mechanical systems, high-power laser systems, and capital equipment design for manufacturing is valued. Please note: We are not seeking an IT Systems Engineer; this is a multi-discipline System Engineer for our printing systems. \nJob Responsibilities:\nOperate printer to produce parts according to manufacturing plan, conduct design of experiments (DOEs) for process development, and generate job reports\nRespond to printing operation issues and make necessary adjustments to maximize the success of printing\nConduct basic equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs.\nReport printing operation issues\nConduct pre and post printing operations including unloading and cleaning printing cartridge, cleaning printing chambers, loading powders, loading printing cartridge, and conducting all pre-printing procedures and checkups.\nManage print supplies (raw materials, consumables, replacement parts, etc.).\nCollaborate with design engineers in technology and product development to improve printer design\nIdentifying and monitoring technical deliverables on several key product development programs\nEnsuring successful technical interface between various functional department’s technical deliverables\nAnalyzing engineering proposals and technical data\nWork with multidisciplinary engineering team, technologists, and management team to define project or program scope\nOverseeing subsystem and system prototype construction, troubleshooting, verification, and validation testing\nSkills/Qualifications: \nPrevious success in blue sky thinking and complex problem solving\nUnderstanding and experience with the Systems Engineering Product Development Cycle\nExperience evaluating and mitigating technical risk\nExcellent communication skills, interpersonal skills and ability to interact with our valued team members and clients\n Education/Experience:\nRequired:\nS. in Engineering, Physics, or related field.\n5+ years of experience in system architecture and engineering.\nPreferred:\nExperience working in commercial metal AM manufacturing facilities (service bureaus, manufacturing divisions, laboratories, etc.) is strongly preferred\nExperience in operating laser powder bed fusion (LPBF) based metal printing is strongly preferred\nExperience in operating sophisticated industrial equipment\nTravel:\n Relocation:\nMust be open to relocation to MA in order to qualify for this position\nRelocation package is negotiable\nMassachusetts Salary Range\nSalary Range\n$110,000—$125,000 USD\nSeurat Technologies is an Equal Opportunity Employer that values employees with a broad cross-cultural perspective.
