Ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of generator systems, minimizing downtime and maximizing efficiency.\nResponsibilities\nInitiates procurement of parts as necessary and collects data for preventive maintenance;\nmaintains activity logs, monitors work orders and service requests and completes work orders and reports\nAssist in troubleshoots, diagnoses and repairs of electrical and mechanical failures with generators, transfer switches and replaces faulty components and air compressors; inspects valves, injection pumps, injectors and related components.\nAnalyze various power sources including GAS, Diesel solar & Grid, analyze deviations to ensure that right power quality is delivered to the plant.\nReporting and tracking energy consumption, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annually. \nPerforming routine checks on energy transformers, energy meters, RMU, AMF, MLV and other LV distribution components and accessories.\nImplement strategies and policies to reduce energy consumption and Improve Fuel Efficiency\nMaintains inventory of spare parts and initiates procurement of replacement supplies and equipment as necessary; makes cost and material estimates; collects data for preventive maintenance system;\nReporting and tracking on facility Fuel consumption, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reporting of Fuel & Energy consumption and trends and facility energy forecast.\nInterfacing with power distribution companies in ensuring delivery of quality and reliable power to the facility. Ability to perform routine checks on energy transformers, energy meters, RMU, AMF, MLV and other LV distribution components and accessories.\nDevelop maintenance teams' capabilities through On Job Training and Hand holding, ensures IDP's are in place and executed for self and subordinates.\nEnsures training programs are attended by all nominated team members and guide on implementation of learnings\nDevelops unit capabilities to achieve maximum utilization of technology and equipment and effectively applies approved selection \nDevelops and coaches, and provides feedback to team members for better performance and develops successors\nEstablishes and maintains productive relationships with team members and stake holders\nDrives innovation in Enhancing Power House Operations by ensuring continuous process improvement by adhering to OEM Standards\nListens to and encourages employee recommendations and implements the ones delivering values quickly\nLearns and implements best practices from outside and shares own best practices within SBC\nPromotes process automation and use of technology within the business\nRequirements\nMinimum of Bachelor of Engineering Degree (B.Eng.) or HND in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering.\nMinimum of 6-8 years of relevant hands-on experience with generators (Diesel & Gas), Boilers, VAM, and other electrical systems.\nAt least 3 years of experience in a beverage bottling company in a Senior Engineer capacity.\nExperienced in budgeting and people management.\nKnowledge of bottling operations: Planning, Manufacturing, Quality, Environment, Engineering, Health, and Safety.\nUnderstanding of the financial impact of decisions.\nExperience coaching direct reports and mentoring others.\nAbility to translate functional strategy into unit/section plans.\nAbility to lead and manage change, setting standards for achieving performance targets.\nAbility to build and leverage relationships to improve results.\nPossession of CMRP Certification or a similar engineering certification is an added advantage.\nExperience in plant manufacturing operations, project planning, and implementation.\nPrevious experience with new generator installations or power plant expansion is an advantage.\nUnderstanding of business case/cost-benefit analysis preparation and basic financial reports.\nAbility to influence situations without direct control of resources.\nExposure to budgeting procedures and cost management.\nGood understanding of HQSE modalities and codes.\nGood understanding of GMP and GHK (5S) standards.\nGood oral communication, influencing, and relationship
