The Building Manager will also ensure that all services are provided to a consistently high standard and assist the Facilities Management team in all areas required to meet the needs of both the business and the client. The Building Manager will need to work flexibly to meet the needs of the team.\nTo learn more about Sewell Group and Sewell Facilities Management, please follow the link below:\nHome - Sewell Group (sewell-group.co.uk)\nFacilities Management experts - Sewell FM (sewell-facilitiesmanagement.co.uk)\n\nKey Responsibilities\nGeneral maintenance and repairs to building fabric and associated equipment as necessary \nPlanned and reactive maintenance, supported where necessary by the mobile maintenance teams\nIdentify, report and/or repair any faults or defects \nSupervision and induction of Subcontractors\nProvide support to the Facilities Manager as required\nHealth & Safety duties; ensuring that the building is operated in a safe and legally compliant manner at all times\nTenant liaison and coordination\nHealth, Safety and Environmental watchdog\nBe a main key holder to Sewell properties\nProactively use the Soft FM and Hard FM helpdesks to report issues, including missed bin collections, cleaning concerns, H&S risks, and maintenance tasks\nUndertake porterage and caretaking duties, including receiving tenant deliveries, additional litter picking, weeding, rubbish removal, and setting out furniture to agreed standards and timescales.\nProvide support during first aid and emergency incidents, including medical emergencies, panic alarms, lift entrapments, and fire-related events, notifying emergency services when necessary.\nAddress minor H&S risks, such as spills, by placing warning cones or cordoning off areas.\nAssist the ORM completing fire evacuation drills and closing out fire risk assessment actions\nRequirements\nAs well as exhibiting our company behaviours of being Positive, Professional, Customer Focused, a Team Player and Doing the Right Thing, the successful candidates will have the following:\nEssential:\n Full Driving Licence, valid in the UK and own transport\n A satisfactory Enhanced DBS check \n Have a positive and professional attitude\n Have a trade background or good practical core skills together with previous maintenance experience\n Be computer literate (Microsoft Office)\n Have a proactive attitude towards maintaining the facility at a world class quality level\n Hold excellent communications skills and the ability to liaise with Tenant Groups & subcontractors\n Possess good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise a variety of tasks\n Possess a positive approach to learning, development and progression\n Have a flexible outlook towards hours worked (some out of hours working may be required)\n Have working knowledge of current Health and Safety practice\n Desirable:\nBe First Aid at Work trained\nSewell Group is an equal opportunities employer, recruiting within the guidelines of the Equality Act 2010.
