This role presents an exciting opportunity to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment within a rapidly growing team, with abundant prospects for career advancement.\nAs a Chargeback Operations Intern, you will be responsible for analyzing and responding to card and ACH disputes filed against Sezzle. Working closely with our fraud/risk team and our customer disputes team, you will navigate issues on a case by case basis to determine the best course of action to help our customers get unstuck. Analysts will also make recommendations to our management on how to improve and scale our processes. \nWe are looking for a teammate who can work full-time Monday through Friday between 9:00 am - 5:30 pm - Central Time. This will be a paid internship.\nWhat You'll Do:\nInvestigate disputed credit card, debit card, and ACH transactions and take suitable action to resolve those disputes within the allowed timeframes.\nWork cross functionally with relevant departments (fraud, disputes) to determine next steps on a case to case basis.\nInvestigate individual transactions using internal policies and review methodologies to identify patterns or trends.\nUnderstand our systems and tools; investigate account patterns through data analysis.\nCollaborate with analysts, operations specialists, data scientists and engineering to improve our loss prevention mechanisms, processes and tools.\nLearn and maintain strong domain knowledge of the world of fraud including prevention techniques and technologies.\nMaintain or exceed established service level agreements (SLAs) for timely resolution of queued cases to minimize potential losses.\nHandle escalations from internal and external stakeholders in a professional and efficient manner.\nDemonstrated experience working with Claude or equivalent large language model tools is required; candidates must be comfortable leveraging AI to enhance productivity, research, and communication.\nWhat We Look For:\nExperience in analyzing data and comfortable making impactful decisions in a fast-paced and sometimes ambiguous environment\nAttention to detail and ability to multitask\nExcellent problem-solving and analytical skills\nStrong business judgment and communication skills\nAbility to self-start and work with minimal supervision after training\nAbout You:\nYou have relentlessly high standards - many people may think your standards are unreasonably high.
