This role presents an exciting opportunity to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment within a rapidly growing team, with abundant prospects for career advancement.\nThe IT Operations Intern will assist Sezzle’s IT Operations team with daily support tasks, troubleshooting, and project-based initiatives. This role is designed for a candidate pursuing a technical degree who wants to gain real-world experience in IT service delivery and operational support. The intern will work closely with the IT Operations team to ensure timely resolution of end-user issues, maintain accurate inventory, and contribute to IT process improvement.\nKey Responsibilities\nIT Service Desk Support: Respond to and resolve incoming IT service desk tickets in Jira related to hardware, software, or user access issues.\nBreak/Fix Work: Assist with diagnosing and resolving end-user device issues, including both macOS and Windows systems.\nDevice Deployment: Support the setup, imaging, and distribution of laptops and peripherals for new and existing employees.\nOnboarding/Offboarding Support: Help provision accounts, configure systems for new hires, and assist with access removal and equipment collection for departures.\nInventory Tracking: Maintain accurate records of IT assets, ensuring proper tagging, documentation, and periodic audits.\nDocumentation: Contribute to and update internal documentation for troubleshooting steps, FAQs, and process workflows.\nProject Assistance: Support the IT Operations team with ongoing initiatives related to system improvements, automation, or infrastructure upgrades.\nOther Duties as Assigned: Participate in miscellaneous tasks and projects that support the IT Operations team’s mission.\nWhat We Look For:\nEducation: Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree or technical program in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, preferably with an emphasis on IT Operations, Systems Administration, or Infrastructure Management.\nTechnical Skills:\nFamiliarity with macOS and Windows operating systems.\nBasic understanding of networking, device configuration, and troubleshooting.\nExposure to cloud-based tools such as Google Workspace.\nInterest in learning IT ticketing systems, MDM platforms, and automation tools.\nSoft Skills:\nStrong problem-solving and organizational abilities.\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills.\nDependable, proactive, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.\nPreferred Knowledge and Skills\nPrior experience providing IT support (academic, internship, or volunteer).\nBasic knowledge of IT security concepts and best practices.\nFamiliarity with Jira or similar ticketing systems.\nInterest in pursuing certifications such as CompTIA A+, Google IT Support, or JAMF 100.\nDemonstrated experience working with Claude or equivalent large language model tools is required; candidates must be comfortable leveraging AI to enhance productivity, research, and communication.\nAbout You\nYou’re pursuing a career in IT Operations and want hands-on experience supporting real users and systems.\nYou’re a clear communicator who enjoys helping others and learning from challenges.\nYou take initiative and demonstrate ownership over your work.\nYou’re adaptable, detail-oriented, and have a positive, team-first attitude. \nYou’re trustworthy and handle sensitive information and access with care and integrity\nWhat Makes Working at Sezzle Awesome:\nAt Sezzle, you’ll be part of a dynamic team, work on real-world fintech solutions, and get mentorship from experienced engineers.
