The team focuses on methane emissions from the energy and waste sectors, as well as policies to accelerate the transition away from high-global warming refrigerants.\nHow You'll Contribute\nMonitor and analyze key Korean and international methane policy developments, and develop methane mitigation strategies\nLead policy research and stakeholder outreach initiatives to advance methane mitigation in the energy and waste sectors\nAdvocate for policy change with government agencies and key stakeholders across Korean and international settings\nDevelop strategic partnerships and drive collaborative initiatives with Korean and international civil society organizations and research institutions\nPlan and manage seminars, forums, and other stakeholder engagement events\nWho We're Looking For\nProficiency in both Korean and English (speaking and writing)\n2+ years of work or research experience in climate, environment, energy, or related fields\nGenuine interest in methane and HFC emissions reduction, and climate issues more broadly\nWillingness to learn about and understand the energy and waste sectors and methane mitigation frameworks\nOutstanding collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to translate policy research into advocacy initiatives, campaigns, and stakeholder engagement\nNice to Have\nExperience managing projects and collaborating with Korean and international civil society organizations, research institutions, government agencies, and other stakeholders\nExperience drafting research reports and proposals in both Korean and English\nDegree in environmental studies, engineering, resource management, circular economy, or related fields\nExperience planning and organizing Korean and international events, workshops, or conferences\nPlease Read Carefully\nPlease submit your CV and cover letter in Korean or English, in PDF format.\nAt SFOC, we may suggest other roles based on your experience and strengths, even if they differ from the position you applied for.
