This position will oversee all pharmacy operations, ensuring accurate, compliant and efficient dispensing of medications alongside exceptional client service. Partnering with the Manager of Clinical Operations and Manager of Nursing Operations, the Lead will focus on operational efficiency, staff development, and providing a stellar customer experience for all, while simultaneously fostering the collaboration needed across all departments to drive the initiatives that elevate and support Pharmacy team performance.\nCore Responsibilities:\nManage pharmacy inventory and ordering, and collaborate with Inventory Coordinator on variances \nDevelop and maintain pharmacy protocols, policies, and workflows\nEnsure regulatory compliance and accurate medication management\nLead pharmacy training and development, including development of training programs and materials and training and coaching for both new and existing pharmacy staff\nEnhance the client experience and pharmacy environment to provide the best customer experience possible\nProvide leadership to Pharmacy team by fostering teamwork, high professional standards, continuing development and promoting effective communication\nIdentify, evaluate and implement opportunities to improve Pharmacy performance, customer service, and operational efficiency\nCommunicate effectively and respectfully with culturally diverse clients, staff, and volunteers using strong interpersonal, conflict mediation, and de-escalation skills to address concerns and resolve complaints tactfully and courteously\nRequirements\nPhysical Requirements and Work Environment:\nRegular sitting at computer stations and operation of electronic equipment \nRegular standing, bending, stooping and crouching\nRegularly moves about the campus to coordinate work\nRegular exposure to animals under stress\nConsistent exposure to animals in the workplace and animal allergens under conditions with limited alternatives available\nRequirements:\n3+ years of pharmacy technician experience in veterinary or human pharmacy.\nFor candidates coming from human pharmacy, current Pharmacy Technician licensure/registration is required.\nExperience managing pharmacy workflows, including in-house and/or online prescription processing and fulfillment.\nKnowledge of pharmacy inventory management, including stocking, expiration monitoring, and ensuring medications and supplies are available when needed.\nWorking knowledge of DEA regulations and controlled-substance handling.\nExperience using pharmacy or medical inventory management systems; experience with Cubex is preferred.\nStrong attention to detail and accuracy in a high-volume pharmacy environment.\nExcellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, veterinary teams, and internal departments.\nExperience coordinating medication and supply needs across multiple departments is preferred.\nStrong organizational, problem-solving, and prioritization skills.\nSalary Description:\nThe starting salary for this position depends on the depth and breadth of experience. Salary is expected to range between $31.00 - 35.00 per hour.
