We are a cost-effective partner for every stage of growth by eliminating the need for clients to work with multiple General Contractors, reducing project overhead, cost overruns, and delays.\nSince our founding in 2006, we have completed over 1,000 projects with top retail and hospitality companies across the United States, providing them with everything from Site Selection and Evaluation Services, Design and Architectural Plans, all aspects of Construction Management, and aftercare through our Facilities Management.\nThe Estimator / Project Coordinator Role\nAccurate estimates and tight project coordination are the foundation of every successful project. This role owns both sides of that equation. On the front end, you will define scope, perform takeoffs, solicit subcontractor pricing, and build the estimates that set the baseline for budget, schedule, and risk. Once a project is awarded, you will help keep it on track by coordinating subcontractors, tracking schedules and change orders, and maintaining clear communication between clients, field teams, and Ownership. A solid estimate paired with disciplined coordination is what prevents scope creep, budget overruns, and missed deadlines.\nResponsibilities\nEstimating\nDefine commercial project scope and understand client requirements\nRead and interpret building plans and specifications\nPerform quantity takeoffs and unit cost analysis from drawings, specifications, and schedules\nObtain and complete all project bid forms\nSolicit, obtain, and evaluate subcontractor proposals for accuracy and completeness\nProvide value engineering\nPrepare estimates and documentation for change orders\nMaintain accurate pricing structure with quarterly reviews\nPrepare and submit proposals to the Director of Construction/VP for approval\nSubmit and track estimate statuses with clients\nParticipate in client calls to clarify estimates as needed\nProject Coordination\nTrack changes, maintain a living estimate, and manage cost forecasting throughout the project\nAssist in project scheduling and track milestones against the baseline\nCoordinate subcontractor scheduling, mobilization, and day-to-day communication\nIssue and track purchase orders, subcontracts, and change orders\nManage project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, permits, and closeout packages\nSupport invoicing and billing by aligning project costs with the estimate\nServe as a point of contact for clients and design professionals from award through closeout\nPerform site visits as necessary\nEnsure compliance with relevant standards, codes, and contractual requirements\nReports to Director of Construction/VP\nIdeal Candidate Profile\n3+ years in Commercial Construction Estimating, Project Coordination, or a combination of both (Required)\nWorking knowledge of construction scheduling, subcontractor management, and project documentation\nPossesses a BA/BS in Construction Management, Business, Operations, or similar (not required)\nLocation\nThis is an in-office + site visit role in the Detroit area.
