Reporting to the Software Development Manager, this senior-level role is responsible for the development, enhancement and testing of our system that is developed exclusively in-house. The role will also be responsible for the delivery of applications which meet the needs of users, in a timely and effective manner. You will work with business analysts and end-users of the system to define requirements and manage team deliverables.\n\nOffice Location & Hybrid Model\nOur office is in downtown Toronto, a 5-minute walk from Union Station. \nWe embrace a flexible hybrid work model, with teams in 2-4 times per month.\n\nWhat You’ll Do\nDevelopment of software that meets the requirements that are provided by business analysts\nWork with users to develop functional requirements as an input to application design\nDeveloping and testing detailed functional designs\nApplication design, development, testing, and deployment activities\nBe available for limited application support after business hours\nDevelop a professional and productive relationship with SGGG-FSI staff\nKeep management informed of any and all issues that could have a Customer impact\nWork to continually improve the processes associated with your assigned functions\n\nWhat You’ll Bring\n Must-Haves / Required\nAdvanced knowledge of object-oriented software design and development\n5 – 7 years of overall application development experience\nUniversity Degree or College Diploma in Computer Science (or equivalent experience in the field)\nAt least 5 years of C# application development, coding, testing, deployment & maintenance\nMust have ASP.NET MVC and AngularJS experience, preference will be given to advanced knowledge\nSolid understanding of relational database development utilizing MS SQL\nAdvanced knowledge of WCF and XML web services, and the Service Oriented Architecture pattern\nProven track record of delivering software projects, on time\nGood communication and inter-personal skills\nAbility to work with minimal supervision to prioritize and manage work\nAbility to work as an effective member of a team\nStrong attention to detail\n\nNice-to-Haves / Assets\nPreference will be given to applicants with relevant certificates and training in Information Technology\nCompletion of all or some of the
