Internships are available year-round. Applicants should indicate their available timeframe in their application. Applicants must be available to work full-time.\nWhat You’ll Be Doing:\nWork side-by-side with industry experts to develop practical solutions to structural engineering challenges.\nSupport projects related to nuclear and non-nuclear power generation and storage, national defense installations, and other critical infrastructure.\nDevelop state-of-the-art analytical models to evaluate the performance of buildings, mechanical systems, and non-structural components in response to earthquakes and other hazards.\nPerform structural analysis and design under the guidance of licensed professionals.\nAssist with preparation of client deliverables, including formal calculation packages, written reports, and presentation slides.\nCollaborate with SGH researchers to support advancement in the structural engineering state of practice.\nDevelop digital tools to enhance engineering workflows and productivity.\nPerform reconnaissance on existing structures, conduct field tests, or monitor construction in progress with guidance and support of engineers. \nWork may include travel and working from heights.\nWhat You’ll Need:\nStudents should have an interest in civil and or structural engineering, materials science, architecture, and architectural engineering.\nMaintain high grades in their studies, and are interested in learning through hands-on work experience in a consulting engineering environment.\nEnthusiastic about the challenges associated with the development of sophisticated engineering work product in an atmosphere of high professionalism. \nSuccessful candidates must have strong communication abilities.\nBenefits Overview:\nFull-time temporary employees are eligible for medical insurance, paid holidays and sick leave. Part-time temporary employees are eligible for sick leave.\nCompensation:\nThis compensation range is a good faith estimate pursuant to applicable equal pay and pay transparency laws. The pay range is effective for 2027 and is based on enrollment in the applicable degree program as noted below.
