Our intentional culture promotes trust and participation, encouraging you to bring your heart and mind to work every day.\nOut-of-scope\nPermanent, Full-Time\nWork Location: Regina, Head Office (In-Office)\nPay Range: $ 109,052 - $145,411\nPosting Close Date: November 6, 2026\nGeneral Accountability\nThe successful candidate will be responsible for planning, organizing, and managing staff and overall operations to ensure the stable operation of SGI's IT infrastructure. This includes developing, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing key functional areas, particularly computer infrastructure, network, database, cloud, back-up and recovery capabilities, infrastructure disaster recovery (DR), and monitoring systems.\nKey Accountabilities\nNote: This section is not intended to be an exhaustive list of duties and responsibilities - other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.\nStrategic Support\nPrepares and maintains tactical roadmaps for the delivery of infrastructure hardware and services.\nOversees the preparation and maintenance of documentation of infrastructure, including diagrams and configuration information.\nDrives research for new infrastructure technologies by keeping current with industry trends and continually assessing the viability/compatibility of the trends within SGI’s existing infrastructure.\nEngages, plans and works with all stakeholders and team members to determine, implement and oversee all current and future infrastructure requirements.\nDevelops and maintains infrastructure job roles as needed as the IT industry evolves.\nOperational Support\nManages Incident Response for infrastructure related events and collaborates across teams to assist in issue resolution.\nCreates and maintains performance metrics used to measure and improve performance; monitors and reports on KPI’s and SLA’s.\nDevelops and maintains Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all services supported by the team. \nDevelop and maintain operational Runbooks for use by the IT Operations department to rapidly resolve issues.\nSupervises all aspects of team function and be accountable for team performance.\nProcures any required IT hardware, software, and support solutions within corporate purchasing guidelines.\nEnsures that IT Change Management, IT Incident and Problem Management processes are followed appropriate to the organization’s standards.\nIntegrates long-term plans and short-term delivery with the enterprise architecture roadmaps and guiding principles.\nVendor Management\nProvides tactical management of vendor contracts and maintains relationships with key infrastructure and service providers.\nEnsures that vendor delivery (solution and services) aligns to the needs of the business and the overall program.\nEnsures vendor delivery aligns to the terms set forth in contracts/statements of work from a scope, quality, cost and timing perspective.\nPeople Leadership\nBuilds a high performing workforce by actively leading human resource activities.\nEnsures development of divisional succession plans.\nBuilds a culture of leadership and accountability to effectively deliver on strategic and corporate strategies, ensuring integration with employee performance development and career development plans.\nDrives performance through team members and is committed to leadership development across the company, supporting employees and workforce readiness through mentoring, training and developmental opportunities.\nCorporate Management\nEnsures programs and policies are in alignment with corporate, strategic and divisional strategies. \nManages risk in area of authority.\nPrepares, reviews, manages and/or approves departmental/divisional budgets.\nPrepares decision requests, decision and/or information items and/or SGI board items.\nEnsures that the Health, Safety and Emergency Management Policy is applied in area of responsibility, including development, implementation and managing of program components specific to departmental health and safety requirements. \nMakes decisions for departmental operations that are efficient, effective and in alignment with strategic direction and priorities.\nEnsures department and program policies, procedures and guidelines are in compliance with applicable federal and provincial legislation and regulations; implements and evaluates changes to legislation and regulations in area of authority.\nEstablishes and maintains an effective system of internal controls to support reliable financial reporting and compliance in accordance with applicable laws and regulations within the span of control and communicates the importance of internal controls to staff.\nEducation and Experience\nA four-year degree from an accredited post-secondary education institution in a relevant field of study such as Information Technology, Business or Mathematics & Applied Science.\nEight years’ experience comprised of four years of leadership experience and four years’ experience in a production 24/7 high-availability multi-site enterprise environment, including application hosting, voice and data networks, security and information protection.\nKnowledge, Skills and Abilities\nKnowledge of systems architecture principles, best practices and industry standards.\nKnowledge of vendor management processes and best practices.\nKnowledge of demand and resource planning and people management.\nKnowledge of IT industry and SDLC best practices and industry standards.\nKnowledge of the strategic and tactical planning of application systems and the delivery of IT customer service.\nKnowledge of program and project management methodologies and techniques required to plan, manage and execute programs and projects.\nKnowledge of business processes and how they interact to support business operations.\nSkill in developing proposals and presenting recommendations.\nBehavioural Competencies\nLeader Level 4 - Applies (Department/Division)\nAccountability - Enables Performance Across Teams/Business Units\nBusiness Acumen - Formulates Departmental/Divisional Plans in Relation to Internal and External Environment\nChange Agility - Defines Areas for Change and Follows Through\nLeadership - Leads the Department/Division\nAt SGI, we are committed to a workplace where people feel respected, valued, and able to contribute fully.
