information's, please visit the following website:\nAbout SGS | SGS\n The Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the AGRI Inspector in the sites.\nAlso, will assist the AGRI Team ensuring that the operations observe the best quality practices in order to comply with all company quality, health, safety & environment practices at all times to ensure the best possible service is provided to the client at all times.\nResponsabilities\nPlan, coordinate, and supervise daily AGRI inspection activities, including the loading and unloading of cargo on ships, trucks, railcars, and tanks.\nMonitor the packing and unpacking of containerized cargo.\nProvide technical guidance and clarification to operational personnel regarding inspection methodologies, sampling procedures, testing requirements, cargo monitoring, reporting standards, and service delivery expectations.\nAllocate inspectors, samplers, vehicles, and other resources according to operational requirements.\nEnsure the collection of cargo samples for laboratory analysis according to instructions from the client and SGS SOP’s.\nEnsure that all AGRI Inspectors, Samplers, and field personnel understand, correctly interpret, and consistently apply SGS Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Work Instructions, and client-specific requirements.\nDevelop, communicate, and issue operational Work Instructions to support the effective execution of specific contracts, projects, customer requirements, and operational activities.\nMonitor the implementation of SOPs and Work Instructions in the field and take corrective action whenever deviations are identified.\nCheck the technical condition of measuring instruments (scales and thermometers) prior to the measurement process, and ensure monitoring the calibration details.\nReview, consolidate and validate the field reports and prepare Inspection reports on each operation.\nEnsure timely execution of inspections, sampling, weighing, stock monitoring, warehouse surveys, loading supervision, discharge supervision, and other agricultural commodity-related services.\nReport any abnormal situations to the Coordinator/Manager\nEnsure that all standards regarding quality, hygiene, and safety at work are observed and respected during operational activities.\nConduct pre-operation briefings, toolbox talks, coaching sessions, and on-the-job training to reinforce compliance with SGS procedures and industry best practices.\n Immediately report to the supervisor if any abnormal actions are detected that jeopardize quality, hygiene, and safety at work.\nComply with all quality and safety requirements of the SGS management system.\nPerform any other tasks assigned by the Coordinator/Manager\nCoordinate and support pest control and fumigation activities where applicable, ensuring that client requirements, industry standards, and safety procedures are observed.\nEscalate pest infestation risks and recommend corrective actions to protect the integrity of stored agricultural commodities.\nOther Specific Responsibilities\nCoordinate with clients, port operators, warehouses, transporters, surveyors, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth operations.\nFollow up on ongoing inspections and proactively resolve operational issues and bottlenecks.\nEnsure proper use, maintenance, and accountability of company equipment, tools, inspection instruments, and operational assets.\nPromote the image, capability, and integrity of the company to the clients.\nEnsure the best quality of Job execution.\nManage and monitor stock levels of consumables required for AGRI operations, including sampling bags, seals, labels, stationery, PPE, sample containers, moisture-testing supplies, and other operational materials.\n Honor Degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Agricultural Engineering, Logistics, Chemical or equivalent.\nKnowledge of Pest Control Management may be advantage.\nExperience\n5 years of experience in similar position\nTo be familiar with Agri Commodities, hazards and safety practices.\nCompetencies\nKnowledge of Health and Safety\nInterpersonal and Leadership Skills\nStakeholder’s relationships\nProficiency in Portuguese and English\nFinance-for-non-finance knowledge\nAbility to work under pressure\nProficiency in various types of computer
