Business Development Executive (Calibration services and IoT)

Support the Calibration Manager in developing and executing business development strategies for calibration services and IoT environmental real-time monitoring solutions.

Identify and develop opportunities within target industries including:

• Semiconductor Manufacturing
• Pharmaceutical & Life Sciences
• Hospitals & Healthcare
• Automotive & Electric Vehicle Manufacturing

Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers, including Engineering Managers, Facility Managers, QA/QC Managers, Validation Managers, EHS Managers, Reliability Engineers, Metrology Engineers, and Procurement teams.

Promote SGS calibration capabilities, including dimensional, temperature, pressure, humidity, electrical, mass, analytical, and laboratory instrument calibration services.

Promote IoT-based environmental monitoring solutions for:

• Cleanrooms
• Warehouses
• Pharmaceutical storage areas
• Production facilities
• Laboratories
• Hospitals
• Data centers

Manage sales leads, customer visits, proposals, quotations, negotiations, and follow-up activities.

Act as the primary coordinator between customers, SGS Vietnam, and SGS affiliate laboratories for technical and commercial matters.

Support the development of strategic partnerships with equipment vendors, cleanroom solution providers, pharmaceutical consultants, and industrial associations.

MARKET DEVELOPMENT

• Conduct market mapping and identify prospective customers in assigned industries.
• Build and continuously update a target account database.
• Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, regulatory developments, and emerging customer requirements.
• Identify opportunities for recurring calibration contracts and environmental monitoring projects.
• Participate in exhibitions, workshops, conferences, and networking events to promote SGS services.

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

• Generate qualified sales opportunities through direct prospecting, referrals, digital platforms, and industry events.
• Arrange customer meetings and technical presentations.
• Support preparation of technical-commercial proposals and quotations.
• Follow up quotations and sales opportunities until closure.
• Maintain an active sales pipeline sufficient to achieve assigned revenue targets.
• Coordinate project kickoff and ensure smooth handover to operations teams after award.

IOT (Internet of Thing) ENVIRONMENTAL MONITORING SOLUTION DEVELOPMENT

• Identify opportunities for real-time monitoring systems for:

o Temperature

o Humidity

o Differential Pressure

o CO₂

o VOC

o Particulate Matter

o Environmental Conditions

• Support customer demonstrations and presentations of IoT monitoring capabilities.
• Coordinate solution discussions with technical partners and SGS affiliate teams.
• Assist customers in understanding regulatory and compliance requirements related to environmental monitoring.

ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT

• Maintain close relationships with key customers.
• Develop customer retention plans and support recalibration cycle management.
• Identify account expansion opportunities and cross-selling initiatives.
• Ensure timely response to customer inquiries and complaints.

INTERNAL COORDINATION

• Coordinate with Calibration Manager on strategic accounts and sales plans.
• Work closely with Sales, Operations, Quality, CS teams in Industrial department, with Marketing, Finance team in SGS VN, and SGS affiliate teams which support these services.
• Prepare customer visit reports, sales forecasts, market intelligence reports, and pipeline updates.
• Maintain CRM records accurately and timely.

EDUCATION

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Science, Instrumentation, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering, Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical Technology, or equivalent.

EXPERIENCE

• Minimum 2 years of experience in B2B technical sales, business development, sales engineering, or account management.
• Experience in one or more of the following industries is highly preferred:

o Calibration & Metrology

o Testing, Inspection & Certification (TIC)

o Semiconductor

o Pharmaceutical

o Medical Devices

o Healthcare

o Industrial Automation

o Environmental Monitoring Systems

o IoT Solutions

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS

• Fluent Vietnamese.
• Good command of English (written and spoken).
• Chinese (Mandarin) proficiency with minimum HSK Level 3 certification is mandatory.
• Able to communicate effectively with Taiwanese, Chinese, and multinational customers.

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE

• Calibration and metrology concepts.
• GMP and pharmaceutical compliance requirements.
• Cleanroom and controlled environment requirements.
• ISO/IEC 17025 awareness.
• Semiconductor manufacturing environment.
• IoT technology and environmental monitoring systems.
