This is a great opportunity to gain practical experience in coal sampling, preparation, and analysis while working alongside a supportive and safety-focused team.\nYou’ll receive full training and develop valuable technical skills in a role that prioritises accuracy, quality, and continuous improvement.\nKey responsibilities include:\nAssisting with coal sampling, preparation, and laboratory analysis\n\nFollowing both routine and non-routine sampling procedures\n\nSupporting the calibration and maintenance of laboratory and preparation equipment\n\nEnsuring accuracy, precision, and traceability of all samples\n\nContributing to a safe, clean, and efficient work environment\n\n About you\nExperience in a fast-paced, physically active industrial setting\n\nPrevious coal sampling/testing experience (advantageous but not essential)\n\nEagerness to learn and take on new tasks\n\nStrong attention to detail and commitment to quality\n\nReliability and a customer-focused mindset\n\nBasic computer skills (e.g., Excel)\n\nTeam player with the ability to meet tight deadlines\n\nFlexibility to work shifts and rosters\n\nValid driver’s license and reliable transport\n\nThis role requires completion of a Coal Board Order 45 medical, including respirator fit testing.
