sustainability.\nSGS is looking for a Credit Controller with a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, Business Administration, or a related field and 5-7 years of relevant experience.\n Key Responsibilities\nReview customer credit applications, assess payment terms, evaluate credit risk, and recommend approval, rejection, or revision based on company policy and commercial requirements.\nMaintain accurate customer credit records, approved payment terms, credit limits, risk classifications, and payment history documentation.\nMonitor overdue receivables, aging reports, disputed invoices, and high-risk accounts to ensure timely action and escalation.\nProactively follow up with customers and internal stakeholders to resolve overdue balances, payment delays, disputes, and blocked collections.\nNegotiate payment plans and credit arrangements within approved guidelines while balancing commercial needs and credit risk controls.\nCommunicate credit decisions, collection status, overdue risks, and escalation items clearly to relevant stakeholders and management.\nPrepare regular credit control reports, overdue analysis, cash collection commentary, risk summaries, and bad debt exposure updates.\nSupport month-end close activities by reviewing AR aging, expected collections, provisions, write-off recommendations, and disputed balances.\nIdentify process gaps and recommend improvements to strengthen collection effectiveness, reduce overdue balances, and enhance cash flow visibility.\nEnsure compliance with company policies, internal controls, delegation of authority, credit procedures, VAT requirements, and audit expectations.\n Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, Business Administration, or a related field.\n5-7 years of relevant experience in Credit Control, Collections, Accounts Receivable, Finance Operations, or customer risk management.\nStrong understanding of credit assessment, collections, customer payment terms, AR aging, dispute management, provisions, and bad debt controls.\nExperience working with ERP systems such as Oracle, SUN Systems, SAP, or similar finance platforms is highly desirable.\nProficient in Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas, pivot tables, reconciliations, and structured reporting.\nExposure to Power BI, credit risk tools, automated collection platforms, and banking systems would be an added advantage.\n Key Competencies\nStrong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.\nSound judgment in assessing customer risk, payment behavior, and credit exposure.\nExcellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving abilities.\nAbility to prioritize overdue accounts, manage escalations, and work under strict deadlines.\nHigh attention to detail, professionalism, confidentiality, and commitment to financial
