We are seeking an Environmental Field Services Team Leader to oversee environmental sampling operations across NY, NJ, PA, and DE, supporting projects at industrial facilities, landfills, remediation sites, ports, and onboard ocean-going vessels.\nThis is a player-coach role where you will lead a team of Environmental Field Technicians while remaining actively involved in field sampling, customer engagement, project coordination, and operational excellence.\nKey Responsibilities\nPerform environmental sampling and field measurements at a variety of sites, including landfills, Superfund/remediation sites, industrial facilities, and vessels in port\nCoordinate the daily field activities, schedules, and resources of a team of Field Technicians\nInterface directly with clients to ensure exceptional service and project execution\nMaintain accurate field records, chain-of-custody documentation, and regulatory compliance\nPromote and enforce a strong safety culture with zero compromise on safe work practices\nIdeal Experience\nEnvironmental sampling experience involving groundwater, monitoring wells, drinking water, wastewater, soil, air, emissions, and composite sampling\nWorking knowledge of NJDEP and other regional environmental sampling requirements and best practices\nExperience leading field personnel and coordinating multiple projects simultaneously\nStrong organizational, communication, and customer-service skills\nCommitment to quality, documentation, and sample integrity through strict adherence to GLP and SOPs\n Associate's degree or higher in Environmental Science, Chemistry, Biology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)\n3+ years of environmental field sampling experience\nPrior supervisory or team leadership experience preferred\nAbility to safely lift up to 40 lbs and work in industrial, marine, and outdoor environments\nValid driver's license and willingness to travel throughout the region\nWe're looking for someone who is conscientious, detail-oriented, obsessed with safety, passionate about environmental field work, and committed to developing a strong team while delivering exceptional service to our clients.\nCompensation\nThe expected hourly range for this position is $27 - $32 hourly. This range represents the minimum and maximum base hourly rate we reasonably expect to pay for this role.
