written instructions.\nCorrectly fill in log sheets.\nResponsible for ensuring turnaround time is adhered to for work specified regarding the Geomet department.\nResponsible for carrying out the following work unsupervised:\nCrushing\nMilling\nScreening\nParticle Size Determination\nCyanide Leaching (bulk cyanide additions)\nTitrations - free cyanide and residual\nFiltering\nPreparation of samples for analytical submissions.\nEnsure that all the above work is done correctly to avoid contamination, sample loss, and sample swaps.\nEnsure that all equipment is clean prior to and after a test.\nResponsible for ensuring that the housekeeping for the laboratories and pilot plant area is kept up to standard.\nMust be able to work in other areas of the Geochem laboratory if required to do so.\nAdhere to all quality and safety requirements of the SGS management system.\nPerform any other reasonable tasks as assigned by the direct line manager.\nQUALIFICATIONS\nEducation\nB.Sc, BTech, or National Diploma in Analytical Chemistry.\nExperience\nMinimum of 5 years in the relevant field.\nSolid Management/Senior Supervisory experience.\nValidating and reporting results.\nSolid Fire Assay technical knowledge.\nCompetencies\nGood planning, coordination, and management skills.\nGood team management and motivation skills\nStrong, assertive leadership skills while maintaining good staff relationships.\nCOMPLIANCE & AUTHORITY\nCease the use of any equipment that may be deemed to constitute a safety hazard or entry to hazardous environments without the necessary knowledge and protection, and take action to address the hazard.\nCease to carry on with work that may affect the quality (integrity) of services and take action to address the issue.\nInitiate a formal improvement request when a deviation of the system occurs, possible improvements are identified, or when nonconformity is
