We proudly deliver our expert services through the SGS name and a portfolio of trusted specialized brands, including Applied Technical Services, Brightsight, Bluesign and Nutrasource.\n Primary Responsibilities\nLead the definition, validation, and implementation of all architectural choices for Cloud & Software Architecture (SWA) initiatives across the group.\nDesign and oversee cloud-native application architecture using a holistic, enterprise-scale approach.\nEnsure the technical quality, scalability, performance, and maintainability of all solutions delivered by the Software Architecture team.\nDrive the evolution of existing software architectures and frameworks toward modern technologies, with a strong emphasis on AI-driven development and GenAI-assisted coding.\nManage, mentor, and develop the Software Architecture team.\nSpecific Responsibilities\nAct as the key technical advisor to the Head of Architecture & Technology on all Cloud & SWA projects.\nDefine the technologies, frameworks, and tools to be used across SWA initiatives.\nEstablish and maintain development standards, architectural principles, and best practices for application design and coding.\nOversee the technical implementation of applications and provide hands-on support to teams when required.\nContribute to the design, development, and deployment of SWA applications.\nPeriodically review technical processes and procedures, identifying opportunities for improvement.\nLead the technical evolution of applications to maintain performance, stability, and business alignment.\nProvide 3rd-level support for live applications.\nEnsure compliance with the SGS Code of Integrity and Professional Conduct.\n Education & Experience\nMaster’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science or a related field.\n10+ years of experience in software architecture, cloud architecture, and enterprise software development.\nExperience working in an international and multicultural environment.\nFluent in English.\nRequired Technical Skills\nStrong knowledge of Agile methodologies (Agile, Scrum).\nExpertise in XML and web services (REST, SOAP).\nAdvanced proficiency in C# and ASP.NET 4.5.\nStrong experience with Entity Framework.\nAdvanced JavaScript skills, particularly jQuery.\nStrong command of SQL Server and SQL.\nIn-depth knowledge of Microsoft Azure cloud architecture and services.\nExperience with GenAI-based coding and AI-assisted development.\nRequired Soft Skills\nStrong leadership.\nEffective people management skills.\nExcellent communication abilities.\nTeam-oriented and collaborative mindset.\nHighly organized, structured, and analytical.\nAutonomous, proactive, and delivery-focused.\nPreferred Technical Skills\nGood understanding of Web API.\nGood understanding of WPF.\n Why SGS?\nJoin a globally recognized and stable company, a leader in the Testing, Inspection, and Certification (TIC) industry.\nEnjoy a flexible schedule and hybrid work model\nAccess continuous learning opportunities through SGS University and Campus.\nCollaborate in a multinational environment with colleagues from various continents.\nBenefit from a comprehensive benefits platform.\nApply Now:\nAt SGS, we are committed to fostering an open, friendly, and supportive culture that thrives on teamwork.
