We are seeking a Laboratory Technician to join our ICP team in Perth, supporting the delivery of accurate and timely analytical results while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.\nThis is an excellent opportunity for someone with laboratory experience, particularly in ICP-OES and/or ICP-MS instrumentation, who enjoys technical problem-solving and working in a fast-paced environment.\nAs a Laboratory Technician, you will play an important role in the analysis of samples using ICP instrumentation. Working as part of a collaborative laboratory team, you will ensure testing is completed accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with quality and safety requirements.\nKey Responsibilities include however, are not limited to:\nConduct analysis of samples using ICP-OES and ICP-MS instrumentation\nPerform sample dilutions, prepare calibration standards, and complete testing activities\nComplete daily pre-start checks and support equipment upkeep\nTransfer analytical results into the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS)\nMaintain accurate laboratory records and logbooks\nComplete quality control checks and related documentation\nFollow established testing procedures to minimise contamination risks and ensure data integrity\nContribute to achieving daily production targets while maintaining quality standards\nSupport compliance with NATA, ISO, quality, safety, and environmental requirements\n To be successful in this role, you will bring:\nExperience working in a laboratory environment, preferably with ICP-OES and/or ICP-MS instrumentation\nAn understanding of analytical testing processes and quality control requirements\nStrong attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate results\nGood problem-solving and troubleshooting skills\nThe ability to work independently and manage competing priorities\nStrong organisational and record-keeping skills\nA collaborative approach and willingness to support and train team members when required\nCommitment to maintaining safe work practices at all times\n WHY WORK FOR SGS?\nWorking at SGS means joining an innovative, Global company.
