IMO is looking for a project focused Metallurgist to jion our team.

Key Responsibilities -

  • Manage metallurgical projects, ranging from testwork programs, due diligences or involvement with study management.
  • Provide a high level of customer service to clients, both internally and externally.
  • Creating and maintaining strong relationships with personnel, external suppliers, consultants, contractors and other key stakeholders through regular and effective communication.
  • Maintain a high level of communication with the lead metallurgist to completely understand and clarify the scope of work and project data interpretation. (i.e. Project kick-off meetings)
  • Take personal ownership and accountability for all aspects of project data management, folder management, collation and manipulation throughout project delivery.
  • Ensure Quality Control Systems are adhered to at all times.

To be successful you will have:

  • Degree in Extractive Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering or similar.
  • Experience with some metallurgical commodities and unit operations.
  • Strong written communication and verbal skills.
  • Effective planning and time management skills.
  • Effective project management skills.
  • A degree of competency in Microsoft Office.
  • Laboratory experience preferred.
  • Some exposure to operational sites
