We operate a network of over 2,500 laboratories and business facilities across 115 countries, supported by a team of over 100,000 dedicated professionals. With more than 145 years of service excellence, we combine the precision and accuracy that define Swiss companies to help organizations achieve the highest standards of quality, compliance and sustainability.\nFor more information about SGS, please visit www.sgs.com/en-dk/ \n SGS is looking for an Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Program Manager to work on site at Microsoft Quantum in Lyngby. This practical, visible role supports a fast-moving research and development environment across cleanrooms, laboratories and workshops, in close partnership with engineers, technicians, site stakeholders and specialist vendors.\nThe successful candidate will view OHS as an enabling function: helping teams understand risk, choose effective controls and move development forward safely and responsibly. The environment is diverse, technically complex and often hectic. Priorities evolve quickly, so sound judgement, transparency, adaptability and collaborative problem-solving are essential.\nKey responsibilities\nProvide day-to-day OHS support for Microsoft Quantum laboratory operations, including cleanrooms, technical laboratories, workshops and associated support activities.\nPartner with technical teams to identify hazards, assess risk and develop proportionate, workable controls for new and changing equipment, materials, processes and work activities.\nPrepare, review and maintain risk assessments, safe work procedures, job hazard analyses and other OHS documentation in alignment with applicable requirements and internal standards.\nSupport chemical safety activities, including new chemical reviews, safe handling and storage, waste considerations, exposure controls and relevant regulatory obligations.\nCoordinate and deliver OHS onboarding, laboratory safety induction and task-relevant training for employees, contingent staff, visitors and vendors.\nSupport incident, near-miss and safety-observation reporting, investigation, corrective actions and learning.\nParticipate in workplace assessments, inspections and laboratory-readiness reviews; track actions through to appropriate closure.\nCoordinate with internal stakeholders, facilities partners, service providers and external authorities on matters within the role’s scope.\nMaintain clear records, dashboards and task visibility, and contribute to agile ways of working across local and global OHS teams.\nUse digital tools to improve consistency, traceability and efficiency while applying appropriate security and confidentiality practices.\nThe role uses Microsoft 365 applications, including SharePoint and the Microsoft Office suite, for collaboration, documentation and reporting. AI-assisted and coding or automation tools may also support research, drafting, data organization and process improvement, subject to security, confidentiality and quality-review requirements. Prior coding experience is helpful but not required; curiosity and willingness to learn are more important.\n You are a collaborative and service-oriented professional who enjoys working closely with technical teams and stakeholders. You communicate clearly, provide practical OHS guidance and are comfortable navigating changing priorities and complex situations. With a structured approach and strong follow-through, you can balance operational, compliance and improvement activities while keeping sight of critical details.\nCurious by nature, you are eager to learn about new technologies and value the expertise of colleagues from different disciplines. You combine sound judgement with a pragmatic mindset, finding effective solutions that support the business while maintaining high standards for health, safety and legal compliance. Most importantly, you build positive working relationships across cultures, functions and organizational boundaries, contributing to a collaborative and inclusive working environment.\nRequired qualifications\nBachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant scientific, engineering or technical discipline.\nRelevant experience applying occupational health and safety principles in a laboratory or technical environment is required. This may come from a dedicated OHS role or from a laboratory role with substantial safety responsibilities.\nPractical experience from a laboratory, cleanroom, semiconductor development, analytical laboratory or comparable technical R&D environment. Applicants with other relevant high-technology or industrial laboratory experience will also be considered.\nWorking knowledge of risk assessment, incident prevention, safe systems of work and practical OHS implementation.\nProfessional communication skills in English.\nProfessional proficiency in Danish is mandatory because the role requires communication with Danish authorities and local stakeholders.\nAbility and willingness to work regularly in cleanroom, laboratory and workshop environments.\nPreferred qualifications\nFormal education, certification or relevant coursework in EHS/OHS, occupational health, safety engineering, industrial hygiene or a related field.\nExperience supporting semiconductor, cleanroom, advanced materials, chemistry, cryogenic, gas or other complex laboratory activities.\nExperience in a large, matrixed organization or service function with multiple stakeholders.\nExperience coordinating contractors or vendors in a technical workplace.\nFamiliarity with Danish and EU occupational health, safety and chemical-management requirements.\nExperience with digital task management, reporting or process improvement.\n What success looks like\nIn this role, you build strong relationships with technical teams and are recognised as a trusted, pragmatic partner who enables safe and efficient ways of working rather than creating unnecessary barriers. You are comfortable moving between hands-on laboratory support, compliance activities, documentation and stakeholder coordination, adapting your approach to the needs of the situation.\nYou communicate openly and constructively, raising concerns when needed while maintaining a solutions-oriented mindset. You remain flexible when priorities change and reliably deliver on agreed actions. Applying requirements with sound judgement, you are able to distinguish between routine operations, non-routine activities, maintenance work and emergency situations, ensuring that the right level of control and support is in place.\nAs part of a distributed team, you collaborate effectively with colleagues across locations, actively share knowledge and lessons learned, and seek specialist support whenever needed to achieve the best outcomes.\nApplication process\nPlease submit your CV and a short motivation letter describing your relevant OHS experience, laboratory or technical background, and approach to supporting safe innovation in a changing R&D environment by clicking \"I'm interested\" latest on 25th of October 2026. We will review the applications already throughout the application period.\nIf you have any questions regarding the position, please reach out to hiring manager Camilla Obling via email .","description_format":"text","description_chars":7287,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":null,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":{"level":"bachelor","optional":false},"security_clearance":false,"languages":[{"language":"Danish","level":"Advanced (C1)","optional":false},{"language":"English","level":"All levels","optional":false}]},"benefits":[],"hiring_locations":[],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":["Biotechnology","Professional Services","Testing, Inspection & Certification"],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-10-01T19:15:49Z"}],"liveness":{"score":86,"band":"hot","label":"Hiring now","p_open":1,"p_active":0.86,"p_room":1,"age_days":0,"expected_fill_days":30,"reasons":["conf:5","win:early","comp:brand"],"computed_at":"2026-10-02T00:21:05Z"},"pay":null,"html_url":"https://alion.io/job/sgs-ohs-program-manager","json_url":"https://alion.io/job/sgs-ohs-program-manager.json","meta":{"generated_at":"2026-10-02T00:21:05Z","cache_seconds":300,"methodology":"https://alion.io/methodology","terms":"https://alion.io/terms","contact":"https://alion.io/contact","api":"https://alion.io/developers","usage":{"tier":"crawler","counted_by":"address","units_charged":1,"used_today":184,"day_limit":5000,"remaining_today":4816,"minute_limit":60,"resets_at":"2026-10-03T00:00:00Z"}}}
