Are you an experienced Project Engineer who enjoys solving complex technical problems for customers all over the world? SGS GAS Analysis Services is growing, and we’re looking for a skilled engineer to help us deliver high-quality gas testing and instrumentation projects for our global affiliate network and customers.

The Opportunity

As a Project Engineer, you will play a key role in the continued growth of the affiliate support team in SGS GAS. You will manage and execute technical gas testing and instrumentation projects, support our AST Manager, and work closely with colleagues across SGS GAS to deliver projects safely, on time and within budget.

This is a customer-facing, hands-on role, ideal for someone who enjoys variety, global exposure and end-to-end project ownership.

What You’ll Be Doing

In this role, you will:

  • Execute gas testing and instrumentation projects for SGS affiliates and customers worldwide
  • Manage all aspects of project delivery, including:
    • Developing project plans and solutions for customer requirements
    • Planning equipment and resources
    • Managing logistics
    • Maintaining strong customer relationships and updating CRM
  • Support the AST Manager with project management and operational tasks
  • Provide technical support to all SGS GAS departments
  • Assist in instrumentation projects (design, build and installation), as required
  • Develop a detailed understanding of relevant testing specifications and methods
  • Work to the quality requirements of SGS GAS and its customers
  • Follow all project safety requirements for SGS GAS and our customers, always acting safely and in line with our policies and procedures
  • Ensure full compliance with the SGS Code of Integrity & Professional Conduct and our Equality & Diversity policy

You will be expected to respond flexibly to global customer demands, sometimes at short notice, and adopt a customer-focused approach to ensure the highest level of service.

What You Bring

We’re looking for someone who can demonstrate:

  • Over 5 years’ experience as a Project Engineer in a similar role
  • Experience working in a GMP or other regulated industry
  • Strong instrumentation and testing experience
  • Experience providing similar technical services directly to customers

You will complete all mandatory training relevant to the role, including:

  • Gas Safety Training
