This includes the expediting of technical information through continual engineering input to external and internal stakeholders.\n Attend relevant project meetings and produce regular project status reports\nGenerate post-project feedback\nDesign\nProduce cost-effective and safe civil/structural designs\nProduce tender and project civil/structural designs. Eng.) with ECSA, or eligible and able to obtain professional registration within 12 to 24 months of joining SGS Bateman.\nSKILLS AND EXPERIENCE\nMinimum of 6 years' experience in engineering design within the mining, minerals processing, petrochemical, or related industrial plant environment.\nProven experience in piping design and 3D modelling, with proficiency in AutoCAD Plant 3D considered a strong advantage.\nProject Management - Knowledge of basic project management methods and knowledge of all project life cycle phases\nMechanical & Structural Design Criteria - Applications and improvements of technical knowledge into design criteria that suit project requirements. And/or support the design of new components/equipment\nCommercial Principles - Understanding of contract types and of their main features (basics, purchasing and selling conditions, partnerships, claims, logistic aspects etc.) including international contracts\nTechnical Documentation - Ability to create, understand and communicate technical specifications\nPlant Layout development - Ability to layout the plant in a functional, safety, cost-effective way.\nMaterials Fundamentals - Knowledge and understanding of basic information regarding materials and their properties used in engineering and manufacturing activities\nConstruction & Commissioning - Understanding of on-site construction work such as commissioning or customers and suppliers’ interactions\nMechanical/ Structure Investigation - Ability to evaluate failures, preventative maintenance and assessment of existing structures\nDynamics Structure - Knowledge of design technique of dynamic structure (including vibration)\nCost Estimation - Understand cost of design (including cost of deliverables generation) and ability to estimate costs related to a project or specific activity\nBasic IT Tools - Office Automation and Graphic Software\nProcurement - Understand of project cost control, budgeting, procurement, purchase-to-pay and supply chain management\nEngineering Calculations - Knowledge of engineering calculation techniques\nQuality Engineering - Knowledge of quality methods, management systems and procedures and/or understanding of quality features of products and parts\nQuantity Estimation - Ability to estimate quantity for structures design (volumes, dimensions, masses, weights etc.) to better fit the technical specifications\nCAE Software - Familiarity and ability to use specific CAE software including setting up systems, procedures and guidelines e.g. PROKON and Strand7\nLegislation and Standards - Knowledge of sector specific law (e.g. Engineering safety requirements, Audit regulations, Insurance laws etc.) and knowledge standard specifications (e.g. Plant layout requirements etc.) including the ability to integrate these standards.\nInnovation & Adaptability -
