This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll influence technical decisions, champion best practice, drive continuous improvement, and help build the next generation of inspection professionals.\nWhat you’ll be doing\nProvide technical leadership and oversight across statutory inspections, asset integrity, and quality assurance activities.\nAct as the go-to technical expert for inspection methodologies, standards, procedures, and competency requirements.\nEnsure inspection activities are delivered in line with relevant standards, legislation, client requirements, and accreditation obligations.\nSupport and guide inspectors in making sound, risk-based decisions on asset integrity and inspection outcomes.\nLead technical training, mentoring, and competency development initiatives across the inspection team.\nDevelop career pathways and succession plans for inspectors and key technical disciplines.\nReview technical assessments and inspection reports, ensuring quality, consistency, and technical excellence.\nBuild strong relationships with clients, regulators, and industry stakeholders.\nDrive a culture of continuous improvement, knowledge sharing, and professional development.\nSupport accreditation, audit, and quality management activities.\n What We Are Looking For\nWe're looking for an experiencedTechnical Manager in asset integrity who combines strong technical expertise with a genuine passion for developing people. You'll enjoy mentoring others, sharing knowledge, and helping teams grow, while providing trusted technical leadership across a broad range of inspection activities.\nTo be successful in this role, you'll bring:\nSignificant experience in asset integrity, statutory inspection, pressure equipment, piping systems, or storage tank inspection.\nStrong knowledge of relevant Australian Standards, API standards, and industry best practices.\nExperience working within accredited inspection environments and quality management systems.\nA proven ability to lead, coach, and develop technical teams.\nSound engineering judgement and the confidence to make risk-based, evidence-driven decisions.\nExcellent stakeholder management and communication skills.\nA commitment to safety, quality, integrity, and continuous improvement.\nPreferred Qualifications\nAICIP SISI or ISI certification.\nAPI 510, API 570 and/or API 653 certification.\nCSWIP or other recognised industry certification.\nPostgraduate qualifications in Asset Integrity, Reliability Engineering, Inspection Engineering, or a related discipline.\nNDT qualifications and other relevant industry certifications.\n WHY WORK FOR SGS?\nWorking at SGS means joining an innovative, Global company.
