This individual will also provide strategic support and analysis as needed. \nThe Staff Accountant is a self-motivated, adaptive, eager learner who can manage and prioritize an evolving workload in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have an analytical mindset, strong work ethic, heightened attention to detailand a desire for continuous process improvement.\nKey Responsibilities\n1. Monthly Close\nPrepare period-end entries, account reconciliations, and account analyses as it relates to owned areas with appropriate SOXdocumentation and support when required.\n\nPrepare weekly and monthly sales reports for both domestic and internationallicensingsales.\n\nCompile licensing sales data and maintainlicensing dashboard.\n\nCoordinate with licensing partners to resolve reporting issues as needed.\n\nFacilitate period-end closings by ensuring the accurateand timelycompletion of all responsibilities.\n\nPrepare invoices for licensing partners andprocessmonthly cash receipts.\n\nPrepare accountsreceivable aging and ensure timelycollections.\n\nAct as a key member of cross-functional teams to improve the flow of data and reporting.\n\n2. SOX Compliance\nSupport compliance withSOX key controls related to owned accounts and processes.\n\nCoordinate with internal and external auditors related to owned accounts and processes ensuring complete, timely, and accurateresponses to information requests.\n\nContinuously evaluate SOX controls in light ofchanging systems/processes and work with Internal Audit to identifyand implement necessary control changes.\n\n3. Process Improvement\nReview existing processes, structures, and systems to assistin the identification of improvement opportunities with a focus on simplification, standardization, and optimization, especially the reduction of manual, Excel-based activities.\n\nHelp drive the reduction of the close timeline by assessing and streamlining close-related activities.\n\nAssistin assessing the impact from and implement the required changes to systems, processes, policies, and procedures due to new accounting standards, regulatory changes, changes in business strategy, cross-departmental initiatives, and other operational changes.\n\nSupport the implementation of on-goingprocess improvement initiatives.\n\n4. Annual Audit and Quarterly Reviews\nSupport information flow between accounting teams, external auditors, and other internal and external partners.\n\nPrepare balance sheet and income statement fluctuation analyses.\n\nProvide support to Tax and Financial Reporting and adhere to external reporting timelines.\n\n5.
