Reporting directly to the CFO, this is a hybrid role: strategic builder (new processes, systems, and team structure) and rigorous operator (month-end close ownership and administrative housekeeping).\nYou will partner closely with HR and external tax and legal advisors to ensure flawless execution and compliance across our entities in Spain and the US.\nYour Responsibilities\nFinancial Operations & Close\nOwn all accounting operations: AP, AR, billing, and General Ledger.\n\nEnsure accurate monthly and year-end close, preparing P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements.\n\nOversee multi-currency transactions and lead financial consolidation across Spain and US entities.\n\nMonitor cash flow and runway, oversee bank reconciliations, payment controls, and supplier payments.\n\nPartner with the CFO on reporting and FP&A: variance analysis, board reporting, SaaS KPIs, annual budgeting, and forecasting.\n\nSystems & Automation\nSpearhead the implementation of new tools and systems, including a new ERP, and define the underlying accounting processes and methodologies.\n\nDrive automation of administrative workflows to support scaling transaction volumes.\n\nCompliance, Tax & Legal\nLiaise with HR on payroll execution and correct accounting treatment.\n\nOversee external tax advisors for local and international tax compliance, including Transfer Pricing between ES and US entities.\n\nWork with external legal counsel on corporate books, annual filings, and regulatory requirements.\n\nLead the annual external audit: act as the primary point of contact for auditors, prepare supporting documentation, and ensure timely resolution of findings.\n\nTeam Leadership & Internal Controls\nDesign the Accounting & Admin team's growth roadmap; hire, onboard, and mentor junior finance team members.\n\nAllocate workload clearly across functions and team members.\n\nSafeguard the accuracy and integrity of financial data and reporting.\n\nBuild financial policies and control frameworks, ensuring audit-readiness for future fundraising rounds or due diligence processes.\n\nRequired Qualifications\nExperience: 6-9 years in finance/accounting; experience in a fast-growing B2B SaaS or VC-backed scale-up and/or Big 4 background highly valued.\n\nTechnical: Proven month-end close ownership, financial consolidation, and multi-currency management; strong command of Spanish accounting and tax framework; US accounting and tax exposure a strong plus.\n\nSystems: ERP implementation experience is a plus; advanced Excel skills; proactive adoption of AI tools within finance workflows.\n\nSaaS: Fluent in SaaS metrics (ARR, NRR, Churn, CAC Payback), recurring revenue dynamics, and revenue recognition principles.\n\nMindset: Analytical, proactive, hands-on today and a team leader tomorrow, problem-solving, attention to detail, team management abilities.\n\nLanguages: Fluent in English and Spanish\n\nWhat we offer you\nAn international team - Work with colleagues from 10+ nationalities.\n\nA dynamic and innovative environment - Be part of a high-performing team.\n\nHybrid work model - 4 days in-office, 1 day remote.\n\nImpactful work - Contribute to a challenging and innovative project.\n\nFlexible benefits - allocate part of your gross salary (pre-tax) to meal vouchers, transport allowance, and private healthcare at a preferential rate.\n\nOffice perks - Fresh fruit and specialty coffee daily.\n\nContract: Permanent\n\n Salary range: from 50,000€ to 65,000€ gross/yearly, according to experience and seniority.\n\nGreat location - Office in Barcelona’s Sarrià-Sant Gervasi district.\n\nShalion Data Services Limited is an equal-opportunity employer.
