We want someone with an \"agentic\" mindset who views LLMs as reasoning engines within a larger architecture, rather than simple text predictors.\nWorking closely with our AI and Engineering leadership, you will help build advanced AI systems that move beyond standard chat interfaces. Your primary focus will be architecting agentic workflows, governing complex states in LLM systems, and making sure our generative capabilities remain reliable, steerable, and scalable.\nYour Responsibilities\nDesign and implement complex, multi-step AI workflows using Langchain/LangGraph to manage state, loops, and conditional logic.\n\nDevelop, test, and version-control advanced prompts, Few-shot, Chain-of-Thought, ReAct.\n\nBuild and maintain Retrieval-Augmented Generation, RAG, pipelines, including document parsing, embedding optimization, and vector database management.\n\nEstablish automated evaluation frameworks to measure hallucination rates, groundedness, and relevancy.\n\nRequired Qualifications\n3+ years in software engineering, with at least 1 year of hands-on experience building and deploying LLM-based applications in production.\n\nDeep proficiency in Python (including async programming, testing, and modern frameworks like FastAPI and Pydantic).\n\nExperience with orchestration tools such as LangGraph, CrewAI, or Vertex AI Agent Builder.\n\nDeep understanding of how to manage conversational state and memory in complex, non-linear AI graphs, cycles, nodes, and edges.\n\nAbility to treat AI engineering like software engineering, applying CI/CD, unit testing for prompts, structured logging, and observability.\n\nProfessional fluency in English and Spanish.\n\nNice-to-have skills\nExperience with LangChain/LangGraph.\n\nExperience with prompt engineering and optimization.\n\nWhat we offer you\nAn international team - Work with colleagues from 15+ nationalities.\n\nA dynamic and innovative environment - Be part of a high-performing team.\n\nHybrid work model - 3 days in-office, 2 days remote.\n\nImpactful work - Contribute to a challenging and innovative project.\n\nFlexible benefits - allocate part of your gross salary (pre-tax) to meal vouchers, transport allowance, and private healthcare at a preferential rate.\n\nOffice perks - Fresh fruit and specialty coffee daily.\n\nContract: Permanent\n\nGreat location - Office in Barcelona’s Sarrià-Sant Gervasi district.\n\nShalion Data Services Limited is an equal-opportunity employer.
