(S)he will provide advanced technical expertise on system design, documentation, and implementation of Shamrock Foods Company’s custom application offerings.\nEssential Duties:\nDesign and implement long-term strategic goals and short-term tactical plans for managing and maintaining custom software.\nIntroduce and integrate new technologies into software development environments.\nDesign and govern the enterprise application architecture for Artificial Intelligence (AI), Generative AI, and intelligent automation solutions, ensuring alignment with business objectives, security requirements, data governance standards, and enterprise architecture principles. \nEvaluate, prototype, and establish standards for the adoption of AI technologies, including AI-assisted development tools, machine learning platforms, and AI agents; provide architectural guidance for their responsible and effective use across the software development lifecycle.\nProvide architectural expertise, direction, and assistance to Engineers, other Architects, and software development teams.\nProvide guidance and mentoring to junior members of the software development teams through code reviews, training sessions, one-on-one conversations.\nDocument the company’s existing software development architecture and technology portfolio; make recommendations for improvements and/or alternatives.\nConduct research on emerging technologies in support of software development efforts and recommend technologies that will increase cost effectiveness and systems flexibility and reliability.\nPerform POCs for new technologies as required to determine recommendations.\nConfer with end-users, clients, or senior management to define business requirements for complex systems and software development.\nProvide technical advice and estimations during project initiation and exploration.\nDevelop and manage a software development lifecycle management plan.\nAssist with DevOps team with CI/CD modeling and implementation. \nDevelop standards for processes, procedures, and expectations.\nOther duties may be assigned.\nQualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems or related field and 8+ years of related job experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.\nSuccessful track record administering software at an enterprise level\nExtensive experience in developing strategic systems architecture plans \nExceptional analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities\nTechnical lead in strategic design and implementation\nExpert understanding and administration of the Required Skills for the discipline that the Architect has responsibility for.\nMust be flexible and willing to work the demands of the department which may be subject to evenings, weekends and holidays.\nCorporate Summary:\nAt Shamrock Foods Company, people come first - our associates, our customers, and the families we serve across the nation.
