Since 1954, we have delivered comprehensive engineering and environmental solutions for the most challenging infrastructure planning, design, permitting and construction conditions.\nWe are dedicated to improving our communities, preserving the environment and utilizing the most innovative science practices in all our work.\nResponsibilities\nPerform field testing on soil, asphalt, and concrete.\nPerform geotechnical laboratory testing on soil, rock, asphalt, and concrete.\nOperate a nuclear densometer.\nUse and maintain scientific testing equipment.\nProcess test data using computer software.\nCommunicate test progress and present test results.\nInteract and communicate with clients, vendors, and staff at all levels.\nFollow Shannon & Wilson’s Quality Assurance policy.\nFollow and promote Shannon and Wilson’s Health and Safety and Loss Prevention policies.\nPerform other duties as assigned by your supervisor.\nRequirements\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent\n5 to 9 years of experience as a field and/or lab technician.\nProficient in mathematics, including Algebra.\nField and construction observation experience is desirable.\nCurrent Nuclear Gage Safety and Transport Training*\nCurrent certifications in soils, concrete, and asphalt testing (WAQTC, ACI and NICET)*\nCurrent HAZWOPER certification*\nMust produce accurate field notes and sketches to document work.\nAbility to travel in-state and out-of-state is an integral part of this role.
