This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives on detail, moves fast, and wants direct exposure to how early-stage company finances operate. You'll work closely with leadership, gain visibility across multiple businesses rather than just one, and help build the financial infrastructure as Shaper continues to grow.\nWhat you’ll do:\nOwn end-to-end financial operations across Shaper and its portfolio companies, from accounts payable and vendor management to treasury and cash movement, so leadership always has accurate, real-time visibility into the numbers\nDrive customer invoicing and collections, keeping revenue capture tight as portfolio companies scale\nPartner directly with leadership on cash management, including preparing and packaging wire transfers for approval\nBuild and maintain the financial systems and records that serve as the source of truth across multiple businesses\nProactively identify and fix broken or inefficient processes, building the financial infrastructure as Shaper grows rather than just maintaining what exists\nSupport equity issuance and payroll administration across the portfolio\nWho you are:\nFluent in Excel and Google Sheets, with the financial systems or ERP fluency to build and trust your own numbers\nMeticulous and highly responsive, with the judgment to know what needs immediate attention and what can wait\nYou pick things up quickly, execute ruthlessly, and learn even faster; you're entrepreneurial, scrappy, and comfortable in zero-to-one environments\nYou break down ambiguous problems clearly, communicate actionable insights to leadership, and don't wait for permission to act\nLow ego, high ownership; you move fluidly between the details and the bigger financial picture, and you're always willing to roll up your sleeves, no task is beneath you\nEnergized by fast-paced, early-stage environments where the function is still being built\nBonus: 4+ years in finance operations, accounting, or a related field (or a relevant degree)\nBonus: startup experience\nBonus: HR or payroll experience\nBonus: familiarity with QuickBooks, Campfire, Ramp, or similar tools\nWhat We Offer:\nA seat at the center of Shaper's company building engine, with visibility across multiple early-stage businesses\nDirect exposure to how lean startups run financially, day to day\nThe backing and playbook of operators who've built and exited before\nA team that moves fast, treats each other well, and gets things done\nHow to Apply:\nTo apply, please submit your resume and a short note about why you’re excited about this opportunity.
