This is a key position supporting the safe delivery of civil engineering and utilities projects, working closely with project teams, site management and client stakeholders to promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with best practice and legislative requirements.\nThis is an excellent opportunity for a proactive, career-driven professional to take on a senior advisory position with one of Ireland’s fastest-growing engineering companies, helping to shape and maintain high standards across a varied and growing project portfolio.\nDuties & Responsibilities:\nMaintain and implement Shareridge’s health, safety, quality and environmental policies, procedures and management systems.\n\nPrepare and communicate method statements, Safe Plans of Action, toolbox talks, risk assessments and health and safety plans.\n\nProvide practical HSQE advice and guidance to management, site teams, safety representatives, employees and subcontractors.\n\nCoordinate health and safety training, inductions and records for employees, agency personnel and subcontractors.\n\nCarry out regular site inspections and audits, report findings and ensure corrective actions are completed promptly.\n\nLead accident and incident reporting and investigations, identifying root causes and implementing controls to prevent recurrence.\n\nCompile safety file information, support project handover and contribute to health and safety tender documentation.\n\nPromote a positive safety culture and support Shareridge’s commitment to an incident- and injury-free workplace.\n\nManage EHS Insight, ensuring documentation, safety statistics and reporting requirements are accurate and up to date.\n\nDeliver group HSQE initiatives, SOPs and continuous improvement actions across assigned project teams.\n\nLiaise with clients, external stakeholders, the EPA, HSA, RSA and other relevant public bodies to maintain compliance across site operations.\n\nThe Ideal Candidate:\nMinimum 4 years’ HSQE experience in similar role, preferably within utilities, civils or main contracting.\n\nRelevant health and safety qualification.\n\nStrong working knowledge of Irish health and safety legislation.\n\nFull clean manual driving licence and willingness to travel nationwide as required.\n\nExcellent written and verbal communication, reporting and stakeholder engagement skills.\n\nStrong organisational, prioritisation and problem-solving skills.\n\nExperience in gap analysis and implementing practical improvements.\n\nFlexible, proactive and comfortable supporting teams across multiple sites.\n\nMotivated, diligent and committed to maintaining high safety standards.\n\nProficient in English and eligible to work in Ireland.\n\nWhat We Offer:\nCompetitive salary package (commensurate with experience)\n\nCompany vehicle & fuel card\n\nCareer development & training opportunities\n\nSupportive team culture\n\nPension & other company benefits\n\nApply now via the link below, or contact our recruitment team directly on 086 606 6249 for a confidential conversation.","description_format":"text","description_chars":3354,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":4,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":{"level":"bachelor","optional":false},"security_clearance":false,"languages":[{"language":"Irish","level":"All levels","optional":false},{"language":"English","level":"Advanced (C1)","optional":false}]},"benefits":[],"hiring_locations":[{"name":"Ireland","iso":"IE","kind":"country"}],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":["Transportation & Logistics","Transport Infrastructure","Civil & Structural Engineering"],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-09-11T18:41:30Z"}],"liveness":{"score":50,"band":"ok","label":"Likely open","p_open":1,"p_active":0.669,"p_room":0.75,"age_days":20,"expected_fill_days":26,"reasons":["conf:8","win:late"],"computed_at":"2026-09-23T05:45:00Z"},"pay":null,"html_url":"https://alion.io/job/shareridge-senior-health-safety-advisor","json_url":"https://alion.io/job/shareridge-senior-health-safety-advisor.json","meta":{"generated_at":"2026-09-23T19:07:43Z","cache_seconds":300,"methodology":"https://alion.io/methodology","terms":"https://alion.io/terms","contact":"https://alion.io/contact","api":"https://alion.io/developers"}}
