The ideal candidate will have strong React expertise, solid backend understanding, and the ability to deliver features end-to-end, from user experience design through backend integration. You'll also contribute to the migration from legacy systems to modern architecture patterns, applying sound technical judgement to balance complex solutions with simpler, effective approaches while maintaining the reliability and quality the business depends on.\nWhat are you expected to do?\nDesign and build full-stack features across our React/TypeScript frontend and Kotlin/Go/Rails backends.\nImplement robust API integrations following our BFF (Backend for Frontend) patterns.\nBuild responsive, accessible user interfaces using our design system.\nWrite comprehensive tests and contribute to our strong CI/CD practices.\nContribute to our user and system observability and monitoring, including being on-call.\nMentor team members and contribute to engineering standards and best practices.\n\nWhat are the key relationships that are relevant to the role?\nEngineering Manager and Product Managers within the squad.\n\nDesign/UX team for end-to-end feature delivery.\n\nOther engineers across the microservices ecosystem (Golang, Rails, Kotlin).\nPlatform/DevOps team on observability, monitoring, and infrastructure.\nEngineers across the distributed team in Australia, Portugal, and Vietnam.\nYou'll be a great fit if:\nYou have 5+ years of professional software development experience.\n\nYou have experience with React and TypeScript, and modern build tools (Webpack, Babel).\nYou have experience with backend development and API design (REST/gRPC), across Kotlin, Go, and Rails.\nYou have experience with relational databases and data modelling.\nYou have experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred) and containerisation.\nYou have experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment practices.\nYou have experience architecting and building full-stack features end-to-end, from UI to backend integration.\nYou have experience with state management libraries (TanStack or similar).\nYou have experience applying AI tooling and creating environments where agents can deliver solutions effectively.\nYou have experience writing comprehensive tests and working within strong CI/CD practices.\nYou have strong communication skills in distributed, async teams.\nYou are comfortable working across multiple programming languages and technology stacks.\nIt would be desirable if:\nYou have a strong problem-solving orientation and can judge when a complex solution is warranted and when a simpler one will do.\nYou operate with ownership and autonomy in a distributed, async-first team environment.\nYou are collaborative, with strong product thinking and attention to craft.\nYou are committed to continuous learning and professional development.\nYou maintain a consistent focus on user experience and technical quality.\nWhat you gain beyond the role:\nRemote + Hybrid Flexibility: Enjoy the best of both worlds-collaborative office days when it counts, balanced with the freedom to work from home\nAchieve Work-Life Balance and Flexibility: Work in an environment where you're trusted and empowered to work independently, while still having the support you need to deliver your best.
