This role owns inventory accuracy, warehouse organization, quality control, shipping readiness, and compaction workflow to ensure efficient and cost-effective operations.\nThe ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and thrives in an environment where they can improve processes, solve problems, and take ownership of warehouse performance.\nJob Title: Warehouse Operations Coordinator\nCompensation: $28- $30/ hourly\nSchedule: Full time\nLocation: 300 #1C New Street, Oceanside, NY 11572\nKey Responsibilities\nInventory Management\nMaintain accurate inventory records through regular cycle counts and audits.\nEnsure all inventory is properly labeled, tracked, and stored.\nInvestigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.\nCoordinate inbound and outbound inventory movements.\nMaintain inventory accuracy goals and minimize lost or misplaced inventory.\nWarehouse Organization\nMaintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse.\nOptimize warehouse layout to maximize storage capacity and workflow efficiency.\nStage inventory according to operational priorities.\nMonitor warehouse capacity and recommend improvements.\nQuality Control\nInspect inbound inventory for quality and packaging compliance.\nVerify inventory meets compaction requirements before processing.\nAudit compacted products to ensure quality standards are met.\nIdentify recurring quality concerns and implement corrective actions.\nMaintain quality metrics and communicate trends to leadership.\nCompaction Operations\nCoordinate daily workflow for the mattress compaction machine.\nPrioritize inventory to maximize machine utilization.\nMonitor equipment performance and coordinate preventative maintenance.\nEnsure all compaction activities follow established safety and operating procedures.\nCommunicate equipment issues that impact production.\nOrder materials for the compaction process\nShipping & Logistics\nPrepare inventory for outbound shipments.\nEnsure shipments are accurately documented and staged for loading.\nVerify packaging meets transportation standards.\nProcess Improvement\nIdentify opportunities to improve warehouse efficiency.\nDevelop and maintain standard operating procedures.\nReduce unnecessary handling and improve inventory flow.\nRecommend cost-saving initiatives while maintaining quality standards.\nCommunication\nServe as the primary onsite contact for warehouse operations.\nCommunicate inventory status, operational challenges, and quality concerns to leadership.\nParticipate in operational meetings and support continuous improvement initiatives.\nCollaborate with warehouse staff, transportation partners, and remote operations teams.\nSafety & Compliance\nMaintain compliance with all company safety policies.\nConduct regular safety inspections.\nEnsure proper operation of warehouse equipment.\nPromote a culture of safety and accountability.\nQualifications\nRequired\nStrong organizational and time management skills.\nExcellent attention to detail.\nAbility to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.\nStrong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.\nBasic computer skills and comfortable learning new software systems.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\nAbility to work independently with minimal supervision.\nAbility to lift up to 75 pounds and perform physical warehouse duties.\nForklift experience or willingness to become certified.\nWhat Success Looks Like\nSuccessful candidates will:\nMaintain inventory accuracy above 99%.\nKeep warehouse space organized and optimized.\nEnsure consistent quality standards are met.\nSupport efficient compaction and shipping operations.\nIdentify and implement process improvements.\nBuild strong working relationships across teams.\nTake ownership of warehouse performance and continuously seek ways to improve safety, quality, and efficiency.\nWhy Join Our Team?\nThis role offers the opportunity to make a direct impact on the success of a growing reverse logistics operation.
